inktober (10/31) aaaand a testament to how much i am in need of improvement in drawing people: exhibit A. the fact that i am unable to draw proportionally in a short time means its the one i'm least familiar with. soo more practice is at hand!

inktober2016 (9/31) tried to get some reading done before the week started but Kateri decided to sit on the person cat-sitting her.
inktober2016 (8/31) i had about an hour long chat with my mama the other day. it can get a little lonely with my family far away.. looking at this makes me feel a little bit lighter though, seeing my loved ones hog the entire computer and phone screen - not to mention some love letters on my desk. maybe it's not so bad.
inktober (7/31) finally got to draw these mailboxes that i pass by everyday. i always liked seeing the birds that lived nearby playing hide and seek.
inktober (6/31) a small lounging garden space i passed on my way to cat-sitting. its right outside cmo if you recognize it :3
inktober (3/31) was talking with my special person while i was thinking of a topic. i asked for his opinion and he said "risk and reward." clearly he enjoys making it difficult for me. here's what i came up with.
inktober (5/31) was working yesterday so i thought, why not draw a Jimmy John’s related thing?
got tired of doing a color wheel for hw so, decided to make a tiny painting. on the right it’s aaall packaged and ready for mailing(: this was off a site a friend and i passed the other day.
inktober (4/31) walking to and from school at my leisure allows me to see some things if i try. these days there are mushrooms and a 'sleeping' squirrel.
ps. i cheated a little on this one to add the squirrel, so it took me 7 minutes instead of 5. sowwie!
inktober (2/31) i just had a quick chat with one of my first friends i met online. she loves #pumpkins and her two cats (i believe there's one more that's not pictured). it fit the fall theme so i thought why not.
this was drawn on a much smaller space than the first so i got more detail in this than the previous one. tinier spaces are within my comfort zone so, i will try to practice with variation on larger surfaces.
inktober (1/31) if any of you know me well, you would understand how hard it was for me to start a drawing i had to show to others that was under five minutes AND HAVE IT FINISHED. easily there are so many things i want to go back to do BUT i am committed so. here it is -
went to an art tour (fair?show?) with Bethany today and we met so many artists. we had a chance to see their studios and ask them about their careers. one of them was named Debbie, so we most likely won't forget each other hahha. she specialized in weaving fibers and growing her own natural dyes. below is a quick sketch of that memory(:
/inhales deeply/ just. a little. more

today i learned that propping up one side of the sketchbook on a tissue box relieves my neck and arm some.
