I done a makeup test for my Kili cosplay the other day (◡‿◡✿) not bad for my second try
Closed/Au rp w/theunwantedhalfbreed
A year had passed since the fierce battle for the lonely mountain, many bones of the fallen victims still lay on the once bloodied battlefield. Those who lived did what they could to give their fallen brethren a proper goodbye however so many had lost their lives that it was impossible. The dwarfs of Erebor and the Iron Hills gave the Durin Blood line burial withhonor inside the mountain however only two graves were dug that day. One of the nephews bodies, Kili’s, could not be found. Many presumed that it may have fallen down the mountain not to be seen again, others think that his body mayhave been buried by the she-elf in a place only she knew about. Whichever story they believed in, all of them hoped that soul was at rest with his brother and uncle. As days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months, the dwarfs done what they could to restore the mountain to its former glory. They also helped the men of dale to rebuild their home and in honour of Thorin and his party, made many statues in commemorate the bravery and for help return the mountain to its rightful owners. Life had finally became peaceful once more for the people of Erebor and Dale however this was soon to change.
A hooded figure made their way though the narrow streets of Dale, pushing past people who were going about their daily lives. The streets were more alive than they ever had been. Many market stalls full of fresh produce and trinkets of all kinds had been built . The shouts of many sales men could be heard above the constant chit-chat of people as they walked by. The hooded figure was able to silently make their way out of the market and out to the edge of town, towards their real destination, the lonely mountain. It had been over a year since they’d seen this path towards its great doors, multiple memories came flooding back into their head, most of them were memories they did not want to remember. They had lost so much that day that they couldn’t face going back to their kin, to this day they felt that it should have been them that had died in battle not their family. The dark figure clenched their fist to try to hold back the tears that were forming.
As they finally approached the gate, dwarf guards stopped them in their tracks.
“What buisness do you have here?” One asked, in a gruff voice.
This was it. No more running. It was time to face the truth. Time return to the place that not so long ago, they were trying to defend. It was time, to return home.
“I am Kili, the lost nephew of Thorin Oakensheild. and I am here to reclaim my uncles throne.”
The guard did not speak. He simply nodded up to the gates-man whom opened up the grand doors of Erebor. “Follow me.” He grumbled and he escorted him towards the throne room where a familiar face would be waiting for him.
The halls of Erebor had been restored to their full glory, the statues of gold glistening with pride while hundreds of dwarves roamed the halls, racing to speaking halls to approve or disapprove of new trading contracts all the way to attending to lectures given to local students who wished to learn more of the outside world. The Royal Dwarven Guard stood at attention along the hallway leading towards the throne, where Mariel Oakenshield sat with the Arkenstone glistening above her. She was adorned with regal robes, trailing past her toes while her elven brown hair was pulled back in an intricate design. Dwalin and Balin had been responsible for making sure the Queen was up to date on every event happening in and around the kingdom upon her request. Not everyone was happy with her becoming Queen when Thorin and Fili were buried and Kili was not found, but she slowly came to be trusted and the arguing came to a halt. Dwalin’s doing perhaps… The two were beginning to read off reports about mining progress within the heart of Erebor before the doors were opened to the throne room, the guards standing now in formation as two figures began to march down the rug leading to the throne. Balin’s eyes widened. “Ancestors…” he breathed, Dwalin speechless as Mariel slowly stood up from the throne, beginning to walk slowly down the steps as tears well in her eyes to seeing her beloved cousin. “Kili…” she whispered breathlessly, her body shaking violently before lifting the hem of her dress to run in full speed towards him, dropping to her knees to embrace Kili tightly. Mariel sobbed loudly as her arms clung to her cousin tightly. “Oh Kili…oh gods…” she managed to mumble. (( @decadentofdurin ))
Erebor looked like it was from another world, it was so spectacular, nothing like it was only a meer year ago. The place was not only covered with amazing jewls and gold beyond compare but it was also bomming with life. Life that had been fighting to regain their home and was now thriving under the lonley mountain. It was a sight Kili never thought it was going to see.
Many emotions began to run through the archers mind as they apporached the throne room. Memories of seeing his uncle, sitting at the broken throne, watching as his mind was begning to currupt. That was not the uncle he wanted to remember but sadly at this moment, it was all he could think about. He to had a fear that if he were to claim back this throne, that his sickness would swallow him up. Though he was going to try his best to resisit it. Shaking his head, the dwarf tried to forget about his fears and concentrate on the task at hand. It was not long before his fears were soon pushed to the back of his mind. As they apporached the throne of Erebor, he could recognise a number of faces, some older than others. And even though he could see that the dwarfs were staring at him, he could not look them in the eye. Not yet. He still felt ashamed for what he done that day. He couldn’t even look Mariel in the eyes as she ran towards him, sobbing. Though a few tears managed to slip down his cheeks as she embraced him. “Marliel....” whispered Kili as he tightened their hug. “I’m sorry, I’ve failed our kin.”
"Hey you! Bring that here!" I woman, looking roughly about the same age as Kili, stood about three yards away from him. He white hair flowed gently with the breeze, her eyes shining like large emeralds. She didn't wear the typical dress that most female dwarves did. Instead she was in clothes she could move around in, which happened to be some expensive looking pants, a simple white shirt, and her dark purple hooded cape.
The sun had shone bright most of the afternoon, it was a great day for some training and Kili was making the most of it. He’d been out since day break practicing his archery and sword fighting skills, his brother, Flil, had helped him but his presence was needed elsewhere and had left his little brother to finish up on his own, which also meant cleaning up all their mess which had annoyed the younger dwarf slightly.
Kili was just about finished when he heard a voice shout behind him. He swung his body around to look at the female dwarf standing not to far from him. As she pointed to the green grass next his feet where a battle-axe lay. He bent down, grabbed it and walked over to the caped women. He had not seen this dwarf before, prehaps she was from the iron hills? It was very possible.
The young male passed over the axe to the other, giving her a cheeky smile. “Here~”
Ryer’s face lit up with a grin, a certain something sparking in her eyes. To say the least, she was interested. As most people know, Ryer wasn’t your typical dwarf princess. She was strong. She was wise, she was brave, she was agile, and she loved the idea of making bets.
“And what would this price
be? If you don’t mind my asking.”
It didn’t take long for the dwarf to decided what this ‘price’ should be, it wasn’t the first time someone wanted a lesson from him and when a keen person asked, he always wanted something in return, a drink at his favorite tavern.
Kili folded his arms and returned the grin. “You buy me an ale at the ‘Golden King’s tavern.”
Laughing lightly l, she rolled her eyes. In all honesty, she didn’t expect much from the other. In fact, that was the most popular ‘price’ she had ever had to pay a man.
“That’s all you ask of me? An ale? Too easy. If that’s what you wish for, I’ll get you one, but you could’ve chosen something out of the ordinary, Dwarf.”
“Well it’s either buy me an ale tonight or you agree to going on a date with me tomorrow eve?” Kili shrugged at her, his smile still resting on his face.
the welcometothefr3aksh0w:
“A date huh? Interesting. You’ve got a deal.” She picks up an arrow and bow. “What’s first?”
“Excellent” Grinned the dwarf. He took drew out his own bow and stood beside Ryer. “ Well this all depends, are you wanting to start from the very begining? Or have you used a bow before?”
Heeeey! Just so you know, I made that starter for us :D
Yay! :D can you send me the link? :)
