Okay the more I look into it the more convinced I am that we needed Valko to be released before we get the next piece of Caleb's main story. I believe those two are actively working together or are at least aware of each other. The crumbs linking the two of them in collaboration are all there. Hold my hand for a minute.

In Caleb's limited 4-Star memory card, Held Orchard, which was released December 31, 2025, he mentions meeting up with a "private tech company" in the past year and making a deal.

I don't think this company he mentions is EVER, because of the emphasis on both "private" and "tech". It was also only in the past year or so timeline-wise, and there are hints that Caleb has been involved with EVER since he was in college at Aerospace Academy, several years at this point.

Instead, this company seems to match the brief description of EonCore we see in WU30.

We know for a fact Caleb has ties to EVER and is actively working as a double agent. If Valko "maintains a close collaboration with EVER" as well, it's very likely the two do know each other.

What's interesting is that this, along with his dialogue from the new trailer, seem to imply that Valko might have his own private research projects that he dabbles in. Perhaps the content of this research is threatening EVER's plans.

As the card progresses, Caleb and MC visit an abandoned facility in Driftmere. Once they arrive, there's a biometric barrier that allows Caleb through but blocks MC.

Caleb is not worried or surprised about this at all, and seems to know how to crack through this system with ease. He even says that this is easier than him braiding MC's hair when they were little.

We know Caleb's biometrics are already keyed into EVER's systems and allow him access to locations hidden from those that aren't higher-ups in their organization. There are several instances where special emphasis is placed on bio-authentication scanners used in EVER facilities.

I'm thinking Valko's company (EonCore) are the ones who provide EVER with this bio-authentication tech. Their connection to the Gaia facility also makes sense when you take into account that Gaia is explicitly referred to as "Gaia BioTech" in the first chapter of To Our Yesterday.

I'm betting that we'll get information in Valko's equivalent of LAR and HW that is crucial to understanding EVER's origins and digging deeper into Caleb's ties with them/the role he plays in their plans and hierarchy, which were strongly emphasized but not elaborated on at the end of both Lucid Dreams and Homecoming Wings.

Valko is the missing key that is necessary to unlock the next chapter of Caleb content.
