Has the New York Times' "Modern Love" column taken a turn for the tolerable? First there was the thought-provoking Jessica Bennett essay about the meaning of marriage, then there that story of the old couple who were each widowed and found each other late in life that made me cry, and now it's novelist Augusten Borroughs writing about what happens when you get married and you're gay. Which might sound super boring and been there/done that but it's great!

I am watching a day show featuring 2 ladies that take a collection too far....so the show says. However I think the examples of 'obsessions and addictions' they are using are ridiculous. One woman is obsessed with the color pink and the other with ninja turtles. they are allowing the audience and an 'expert' to ask stupid and hateful questions.... bully like questions and statements are being asked and said to these women. People who don't know these, obviously colorful people. I don't think these women need 'help'. They are not drug addicts, they are not hurting themselves or anyone else. Why do people think it is ok to look down on someone who is different from themselves? The media loves to point fingers at a bully, but they are the biggest bullies of all. I'm so sick of it. I am especially tired of the question that I have heard many people ask other...."Don't you care about what people think?" UGHHHHHHHHHH
