Mastery Reflection: XII
Over this past month, I was able to use several different practices and combine them into one single formula. Looking over the course, Internet Marketing Campaign Development, you could see where all the other classes came together and formed a unique journal of concepts through strategy. Throughout the class, researching was above all the most important and enforced subject matter of the course. The main goal was to create a successful marketing campaign, and the backbone of that design was how well the campaigned was researched and developed. Basically, how much information was gathered before moving on to the marketing phase. I did enjoy the fact that there was little information given. This opened up a door of creativity for the research process.
The class was to cover how to analyze the psychology of a consumer as well as developing skills for determining a target audience. Working through the IMAP project as a class we were able to practice these skills. From my personal point of view, I believe creating a target market is the most important step to any marketing campaign. Even though we were not given any resources the basic principles were outlined. Personally, the psychology aspects of the class stood out most to me. Understanding the psyche of the consumer helps unravel important layers to the market that may have otherwise been left out or overlooked. When creating budgets and a plan for ROI, the consumer psyche is the blueprint for high returns and successful branding.
Personally, I will use parts of my final project for future examples and let that be the foundation for future projects. The biggest take away from the course was locating reliable resources to conduct a market investigation of products and branding. The course did not supply research sites or research software, so the research part of the class carried the weight by being the most influential piece to the class.
