Do You Really Think You Know Who I Am?
Welcome to the era of anonymity.
Where people could write, create photos, videos, post them online, create an entirely different or perhaps new identity by a single touch over the keyboard.
Where people think they know someone - the other person behind the telephone call or the screen - just by reading what is written, or from the picture that is shown.
But do you really know who they are?
Do you really know what they have been through?
Can you really tell a person by knowing their name and address and say "Oh, he is happy."
Can you really tell a person by looking at their photo and say "She has a lot of money."
Have you ever wonder how much they struggle behind that smile you are staring at?
Have you ever wonder how much they are trying to hold on to life through the signature they left behind on the piece of paper you are holding?
Just because you know one or two things of a person, that doesn't necessarily mean that you know their entire life, how much they have to go through a single day.
You probably don't know that the person woke up this morning wondering will they be able to survive the month at all.
You must have not know that the person flinch at every noises they hear at the house, whether it is a falling object, a high volume of someone else speaking to them, or is it a single touch of water falling at the tip of their fingers.
You probably will never know how much they suffer just by getting out of bed and living.
You probably won't know how much they have been crying when they are all alone, whether it is day or it is night.
Do you really think you know everything about the person who is writing this? Or the person you just called two minutes ago? How about the person living inside the same house as you are?
You never really know a person even if you are breathing the same air with them, because a person may never share their pain or struggle even if it's already too much to bear.
Because you are not them and you are not living inside their head.
Don't ever think you know everything about a person you see through a few text written on papers or a few sentence written on their internet profile.
