This “hanging out” you mentioned is intriguing. Have my people call your people

Sometimes when people on the Internet are like "ADULTS CAN NEVER INTERACT WITH MINORS IT'S CREEPY" I remember how, at 12, back in 1997, I was on the Witchvox forums with people ranging from me to people in at least their 50s, and no one there was ever a creep to me, no one ever made me feel uncomfortable or asked for my personal info, and when I finally broke down after a particularly brutal day of bullying at school and posted about it they were the first adults I'd ever met in my entire life who told me the bullies were the problem and it was okay to be angry about it.
Kids need to interact with adults who will listen to them.
Me and my discord children (I love them very much)
why do monkeys and apes get tails but I don't. evolution what the hell
apes don't get tails </3
you not having a tail is a travesty but you can share in your misery with bonobos, gorillas, chimps, orangutans, and gibbons
thanks gorilla with autism you would know about this wouldn't you
head not empty, head full of countless scenarios that will never happen
My dream autumn cabin🤎
had a genuine revelation in therapy that made me burst out laughing, been a while since I had one of those
therapist was talking about urge surfing (the idea that urges are waves that come and go if you ride them out, so the more you delay acting on the urge, the more likely you are not to do it) and then I was talking about how the transient nature of my emotions is actually what gets me so mad, like it’s actually very very annoying to be so so sad but to also be thinking “I know I’m very sad right now but unfortunately I am going to feel better later so I can’t destroy my life for one minute’s gratification,” and it’s just so annoying because if I knew or at least believed that I was gonna be sad FOREVER it would make things much easier, but instead I’m so mad at the knowledge that this too will pass. like it’s a manifestation of weak will to not feel bad forever.
and my therapist was like, “so even at the worst times, you still have hope”
and I was like “holy shit dude” because never once in my life have I considered that the little bastard voice that tells me not to smash all the dishes because they’ll be a pain in the ass to clean up in ten minutes is the last gift/curse of Pandora’s box
hope is a thing with wings, i.e. a bird and like most birds is 1) very beautiful, 2) very annoying, and 3) sometimes shits on you
you know how people are always like, 'someone should write a cookbook that's actually easy'? i wrote it (amazon us link). i actually did it a while ago, but i finally got my shit together enough that it's widely available as both an ebook and a paperback, so i figured i'd mention it again.
you can buy the ebook almost literally anywhere, including on amazon, kobo, indigo, thalia, booktopia, gumroad, and pretty much anywhere else you care to buy ebooks.
you can also buy a print book almost literally anywhere, including amazon, indigo, powells, waterstones, and basically any other bookseller.
this is a book for everybody, anywhere, who has limited, time, energy, or resources to make food. here's what i assumed:
you don't want to spend a bunch of time and energy cooking
you can't afford to eat nothing but takeout
you probably don't have access to Brands, because Brands are expensive and region locked.
you probably don't have a bunch of gadgets—there's no slow cookers or instant pots in this book
that's about it. there are vanishingly few measurements, and when there are, they're both imperial and metric. i'm from the us, but live in australia, and you can purchase 99% of the ingredients mentioned at the nearest supermarket in either country. when i was formatting this for print distribution, i also checked tesco and used my terribly bad german to check rewe to make sure this was as broadly accessible as possible, and they have basically everything, as well.
i wrote it for you. if you have more questions, you can see a couple sample recipes here and the answers to frequently asked questions here. If that's not enough, my ask box is open.
I’M GONNA THROW UP 😭😭😭
"emotionless robot feels for the first time" trope but instead of it being because of love or compassion its hatred.
i hate that this is on “bad two sentence horror” because its actually good
Altogether, I really like the way americans say "can I help you?" as a polite general one-size-fits-all stand-in for "who the fuck are you/what the fuck are you doing here/how the fuck did you get in here/what the fuck are you staring at/what is your fucking problem." Such a polite way of going "bitch what the fuck."
"ohh what if my kid starts identifying as a CAT because of the trans agenda we have to prote—" well they've always done that. do you remember the psychological effects of h2o on young girls. of warrior cats on autistic children. i believed i was a demigod because of percy jackson. twilight came out and kids were telling their friends they were secretly vampires. this is just a thing kids do. worry less
