i made a Tomodachi Island that's full of Mark egos/characters and called it Markiplier Manor. Eric and Yan are together, Warfstache is crushing on Host, Illinois and Magnum are pining for each other, and Mark thinks Dark is crushing on him. Heist has a crush on Yancy but i'm trying to pair him and Simon so we'll see how that goes.

my thoughts for this are that Simon was still part of a cult and was sent out to blow up some building with lots of people inside as a religious thing. like Iron Lung, he's the only one to get caught and is put behind bars for life. fairly soon after, he's presented with an opportunity. go to space, keep the ship fixed, earn your freedom. they never tell him it's a one way trip.

since he's a criminal and very violent, his stasis pod thing is set to manual controls. Ryland has to input a command for it to wake Simon. they also sent glorified tranqs with Ryland's stuff to put Simon down if need be.
