I feel like what isn’t talked about enough in the TMA fandom is Elias’s fear of losing his eyes.
I mean, we’ve established that’s how Jonah passes on, right?
And wouldn’t it be natural for you to fear your eyes, the literal vessels of your soul, being damaged or hurt in any way?
ESPECIALLY from the way Jonah fears death?
I mean…
One simple scratch to the retina could keep him from transferring both eyes, fuck up the transfer of his soul or could damage his eyesight, which paired with his ability to See shouldn’t be concerning…
But still.
I need an extra panicky Elias absolutely shrieking Peter come quickly this instant something got in my eye I can’t see I can’t see I can’t see I can’t SEE OH MY FUCKING GOD DO SOMETHING.
Something something Gertrude Robinson once Pepper sprayed him and she learned never to do that again because JESUS CHRIST WHAT THE FUCK I DIDNT EXPECT HIM TO JUST START WRITHING AND SCREECHING BLOODY MURDER. Wait. Okay. I can work with this hold on.
Also why I personally think Elias hates glitter bombs. As a concept, he thinks they’re funny, but as a whole logistical issue and his fear of something SOMEHOW damaging his precious eyes and causing his inadvertent death he absolutely despises them.
I think he also hates that he wears reading glasses. I mean, these are Jonah’s eyes. HIS thousand year old eyes. God damn it they should be fully functional. THEY SHOULD BE. HE SHOULDN’T BE NEEDING GLASSES HIS WHOLE AVATAR THING IS EYES.

OP, I see you and I agree with you, but I raise you OCD Jonah Magnus who has to constantly wipe down his glasses, who has to constantly check his eyelashes in the mirror to make sure none of them get too close too his eyeball. He sleeps with an eye mask to protect them. He regularly washes them under water to keep them clean, as well as applying eye drops.
One thing I’d really wish some people addressed in MHA fics is the trauma and damage after the war. I mean, not just as a point of humor or a plot point.

Deku probably gets massive phantom pains from losing his arms, let’s be honest. Even though he magically grew them back doesn’t exclude the physical and psychological trauma. Also, giving up OFA? You cannot tell me he didn’t have some sort of depression and self-worth issues afterwards. I mean, his childhood dreams were encouraged, then got crushed, and then the quirk that he knew would finally give him a chance to pursue what he wanted in life with the people he wanted got ripped away from him.
WORSE, he had to GIVE IT UP HIMSELF.
So yeah, Deku definitely suffered from that MASSIVELY. I’m talking panic attacks because he can’t save people, he can’t save his friends without his quirk, considering constantly dropping out of the hero course, enduring crazy high expectations from the world and breaking down in private when he can’t meet them.
Then, we have Bakugou and his arm and his heart issues. I mean, your HEART STOPS. Your ARM is fucked up. And somehow you’re still expected to go back to UA and resume courses like nothing happened? I mean, Bakugou’s sweat is 90% nitroglycerin, correct? Nitroglycerin is used for vasodilation and to treat patients suffering from heart attacks, and that was part of his quirk ALREADY. Not to mention that if Edgeshot literally sacrifices his body to keep your heart pumping because it STOPPED, with the additional factor of your quirk being literally vasodilation factory over here would prevent a heart attack.
But do you know what extreme vasodilation can cause?
BOOM.

Then, he has to go through I don’t know how much to get his arm functionality back, while POTENTIALLY FACING LIGHTHEADEDNESS, FAINTING, ORGAN DAMAGE AND EXTREMELY LOW BLOOD PRESSURE.

Then, we have Uraraka. She nearly died from blood loss, and would probably have died had Toga not performed a blood transfusion and STITCHED HER WOUNDS SHUT.

Also, does Toga’s blood not return to its original blood type after the transformation wears off? Does it wear off once the blood is separated from her? If it does, does that mean that Uraraka could’ve gone through LITERAL BLOOD TYPE REJECTION BECAUSE OF INCOPATIBILITY?!
ALSO! HER ENTIRE HERO ARC AFTER GRADUATION BEING HOW TO FIX THE QUIRK COUNSELING MODELS AND GETTING THE GOVERNMENT TO INVEST IN IT AND EDUCATE PEOPLE FOR TOGA’S SAKE?! Ma’am. Ma’am, you cannot tell me you’re not constantly thinking about what could’ve been had things not gone the way they did. So, yeah, PTSD, at least. Then: ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION. THEN. It's also the guy who kept his wits and inner strength despite daily dehumanization and abuse from the Dursleys and then constant surveillance and targeting since he got to Hogwarts. People only think he's normal because they're used to his pov, where he doesn't talk about himself like that.
