Hey what is your personal opinion on the teachers union asking that all schools named aft3r sir John A mcdonald be changed? Like yes i understand that he was for residential schools for the natives, but at the time every person was and im not trying to come off racist or anything ethier like the man was our first prime minister and shaped out country greatly. But to ask to remove him because the thing any politician would of done back then baffles me.
I agree with the teacher’s union and the many indigenous groups who are also opposed to his legacy.
John A Macdonald even among historical figures at the time was more racist. His actions lead to the deaths and ruining of lives of thousands if not millions of people and he was a white supremacist.

John A. Macdonald was the real architect of residential schools

Yes, JAM did do good things for this country, but I can’t excuse genocide.
