Reading book 3 of hwfwm monsters right now and I just need anyone and everyone to know I love Belinda. I love her so much. She's a thief. She's a genius with magical theory. She knew precisely which essences she wanted and got the weirdest power set imaginable. She's a caster. She's a tank. She's on the floor eating money to cast counterspell at the crucial moment. She and Sophie are just accepted to be an inseperable duo by literally anyone who meets them, gets automatically put in the spouse/family category. Like obviously if Sophie's coming Belinda will be there too. Because they're best friends. Gal pals even.

There will be people who think that the books are being "preserved" or that many of these books are not valuable enough to care about, or too old. But if these books had no value, genAI companies wouldn't want to take them, copy them, then charge people for the copies.

I read somewhere that the Library of Alexandria wasn't just lost to a single devastating fire, but went through many stages of neglect before anyone mourned it's loss.

I don't want the future generations to mourn what we might lose to these companies.
