    delaney was sitting at her desk while DIGGING through files of a man her client had asked her to investigate. blowing air out of her cheeks, delaney scanned over the RAP SHEET, and her brows furrowed with the more she read. her eyes finally lift up from the computer screen when she sees a familiar face approaching her -- and something about this didn’t feel like a fun work visit. “el? are you okay?”

“thank you for that, really. i appreciate it greatly.” delaney raised her eyebrows with a laugh as she hears callie’s stomach grumble. “OH, no kidding -- you might be HUNGRIER than i am. ... how  much longer? you know i have the patience of a five-year-old...”
