Head canon that Damian Wayne has a bunch of Surgical scars because of all the surgery’s he had to do in the league.

I feel like I haven’t seen a lot of people touch up on it but I think it’s such an interesting part of his childhood.

Also to add on addition to Damian’s metal spine he gets chronic pain for it and any missing limbs that he had to get replaced

Even better if none of the family notices till one of them sees a scar on his arm and comments on it and that’s when Damian just like oh ya that’s from a surgery from one of my missions and they’re just so confused on how he could be so non chalant about it since it looks like they just replaced his arm right above the elbow.

Upon hearing about this Bruce has to excuse himself to his office and when he closes the door he immediately drowns himself in guilt for not knowing about Damian sooner

I see so many people defending fractions run especially the unorthodox cultural traditions line and I feel like people need to know that being apart of an assassin cult is not cultural or traditional and also even if Bruce is trying to be vague it just comes across as racist cause what do you mean your saying (as a white privileged man) your Arabic/Chinese son was raised in unorthodox cultural traditions when he was just living with his mom (who is Arab/chinese) in a whole nother country. And why is he just hating on his child’s mother to this random lady he’s barely spent a day with 🙄

I head canon that Damian was the easiest happiest baby ever. Talia would go to wake him up and he’s already up and just laying there smiling up at her with the biggest gummy smile. Damian would be entirely content in his mother’s arms just staring at everything around him. I also bet he would only smile with his mom and with anyone else he just has the cutest little frown. And

I bet talia would carry him on her back or stomach with her around the compound and explain everything to him. And at night while she’s putting him down (I bet he’s a really good sleeper) she would sing him an Arabic lullaby or tell him stories about her travels.

It’s all the more heartbreaking when Damian finally goes to bed and he’s sleeping in her arms, that she knows she can’t truly save him from this life.

Damian deserves to be home schooled. He doesn't really learn anything at school since he's literally a genius. like it's not that difficult to find a curriculum fit for the kid. And he canonically gets bullied so I feel like it would be better for him to learn at home. And if Bruce was worried about socialization he could've just put him in a little League or volunteer work or literally anything

Bruce was filled with contentment sitting on the couch with his children crowded around him.

He was pleasantly surprised this morning to dick and Tim sleeping In his bed, his oldest was curled up into his side and Tim layed on his right with his head on his chest as if listening to his heartbeat like a lullaby. He smiled pulling the covers over the both of them, he couldn’t help the warmth that overtook him when he felt dick move closer to him as if trying to meld them into one. His train of thought was interrupted when he heard the shuffling of feet and a knock on his door.

“Come in.” He called out smiling yet again when he saw Jason, cass and duke come in with breakfast on a platter.

Jason put the tray on his lap and Bruce smiled again when he saw happy Father’s Day written in syrup on his pancakes. As he dug in though, he couldn’t help but notice the absence of his littlest.

After breakfast he was dragged Into the sitting room and was presented with the numerous gifts that his children had gotten him. He had spotted Damian in the fray of gifts being handed to him. the child looked a little out of place and shy nearby his siblings and Bruce was hit with the realization that this was his first Father’s Day with the boy. Overcome with affection he pulled the boy into his lap, though his littlest squirmed and struggled in his hold Bruce could tell that it was all a facade. His suspicions were confirmed when the boy melted into his arms curled up into his neck his small breaths evening out as he relaxed into his father’s hold.

The kids had crowded around him on the couch and Alfred had gone and sat in the arm chair nearby when Bruce managed to sneak away from the kids squawking and playfully arguing around him. He came back with a present behind his back, suprising Alfred by placing it in his lap.

“Master Bruce, what pray tell is this?” Alfred inquired raising an eyebrow at his wards-son’s sheepish expression.

“It’s for you, Alfred. It’s my way of showing you I appreciate all your hard work. Happy Father’s Day dad” Bruce responded a smile on his face

Alfred expression softened considerably as he stood up and embraced his son.

The rest of the day was spent with his children hanging off his arms and always by his side. Bruce had even spotted Damian giving a gift to dick, whose eye lit up and immediately picked Damian up and spun him around despite the youngest angry squawking.

At the sight Bruce couldn’t help but feel a flash of envy immediately followed by a wave of guilt. He shouldn’t feel that way the boy was as much his son as he was dicks. But he still couldn’t help but resonate on the fact that the only person who hadn’t given him a gift or even said a happy Father’s Day was Damian. He felt a wave of sadness overcome him at the realization, he knew he hadn’t been the best father to the boy but he had hoped he had given him enough love and care for his son to still see him as his father.

His train of thought was interrupted by his daughter tugging on his shirt.

“Think too much” she murmured into his chest as she gave him a hug that he gratefully returned. Leave it to his beautiful daughter to notice his worries.

Soon enough it was dinner and everyone but his youngest was sat at the dinning table. When he inquired about the boys disappearance to his other children they just exchanged knowing glances at each other and said he’ll show up soon.

It was right when Alfred finished serving everyone that Bruce heard the foot steps of small feet, Bruce smiled knowing that Damian had chosen to let them hear him coming a long way from when he first arrived and lived in fear that any misstep would lead to punishment.

Soon enough Damian appeared at the foot of the table and made his way toward Bruce clutching a painting behind his back. Upon reaching Bruce he thrust the painting in his hand squeaked a happy Father’s Day in a voice so unlike his usual confidence cool tone and practically ran away as much as his pride let him to do so.

Amusement was plain on his features as he turned around the painting his son had gave him. It was a portrayal of the entire family sitting together in the living room but what caught Bruce’s eye first was that in the picture in his lap was his littlest seemingly falling asleep, his little head resting on his chest. Bruce couldn’t help the stupid grin on his face as he got up from the dinner table his dinner forgotten as he went to go find his youngest.

He found Damian up in his room, his door open as if he was waiting for Bruce to walk in.

Bruce walked in slowly careful not to scare him off. Damian wasn’t like his other children, who accepted his affection as easily as breathing. He had to go slow with Damian, make every action one with great intent and care written into the fiber of his being. And as walked over and pulled his son into a hug he hoped Damian could absorb the overwhelming love he felt for the boy.

I love Damian Wayne, he’s my favorite of the batfam but to insinuate that he’s Bruce’s favorite or only ‘true’ son just because the others are adopted is such a horrible take. Like not only does it discredit Bruce’s love for his other children it also insinuates that adoption doesn’t make the child yours and doesn’t mean that you really love them. which is pretty harmful and overall a bad take in general.

Like as someone who’s adopted it’s Litterally sickening that people think that because the other Batkids are adopted that means that their bond is lesser than compared to Damian’s or that Bruce loves Damian more than them just because he’s the only one related to him

hi! genuine question. who knows (canonically) that Damian has a metal spine? like obviously dick and Alfred know and so do Talia and other members of the league but does Bruce know? do the other batfam know?

like do you think if they weren't told about it, they had to find out via x-rays. or some type of metal spine complications that Damian couldn't hide. or having a metal spine would ruin a mission so he had to sit out or something and thats how the rest of the batfam found out

was gonna vaguepost about this but honestly why bother with the vague. if you're bothered by Damian seeing Dick as both an older brother and a parent because "that's not his role" or "it's unfair" or "he already has a dad" I need to tell you something:

relationships with older siblings when parents are absent in a physical or emotional sense get like that. especially if there's an age gap. the younger sibling is just trying to survive growing up and the older sibling is trying to make sure they do. it doesn't fit into the nuclear family concept, sure, but does adherence to that really reflect the only healthy/right way?

an old friend of mine with sisters 10+ years older than her would call one of them "Mom" at grocery store checkout. partly to annoy them. and partly because she wished they were. she was an unexpected baby and her parent's jobs at that point required them to travel constantly. she loves her parents and she loves her older sisters. as parents? as siblings? yeah.

listen if you're ideologically against that I figure you're not going to listen to me. but I need everyone else to know that when you openly talk about fixing their relationship by making them have only Correct Brother Feelings, you're not just making Comics Discourse or whatever- you're making a statement on how YOU think a healthy sibling relationship Should Be. please be careful with that. I get that it's your opinion about a character dynamic. please ask yourself why that is.

hi you guys! i was wondering if anyone could help me find this fic i read before.

its Damian centric (though I'm not sure it tagged that way) and i'm pretty sure it has him get dosed in cuddle pollen (though take this with a grain of salt) and tim finds him and helps him out with the cuddle pollen symptoms and damian reveals that he in a past incident he was planning to take tim to a room or something with only the two of them and give him a knife to let him seek fair retribution for damian trying to harm him which makes tim say straight up that, that is insane.

i love the idea of Bruce spoiling Clark (+ his parents) with extravagant gifts. especially if they're not officially dating or just started dating. even better if he just never mentions he's the one sending gifts.

like Clark mentioned one time that his favorite cologne was going to run out soon at a league meeting. he doesn't even remember mentioning it afterwards, but you know who did? Bruce. who decided the best way to remedy that is sending him multiple boxes of his favorite cologne to his front door.

Another time Clark complained to batman that his boss wanted him to go to a black-tie gala, and his only suit isn't in good enough condition to wear for such an event but he doesn't have enough money to get a better looking one and it's not like he would know which suits are best for such an occasion anyway. but do you know who does know? Bruce. so, he takes it upon himself to send the man multiple suits not only for black tie events but for any other occasions that Clark might need to go to. (and you know all those suits fit perfectly)

one day he mentions that he has to leave a league meeting early because his dad needs extra help on the farm since the tractor broke down and they need to save up for a new one (idk anything about farm work sorry :( ) but you know who doesn't need to save up? Bruce. so he goes to Ma and Pa Kent and asks them what type of tractor they need so he can buy it for them. of course, at first they refuse such an offer. its such a big purchase but after a lot of convincing (more like begging) Bruce buys them one.

at this point Clark is getting suspicious, yes, its nice that he's getting such lovely thought out gifts and he does appreciate them and yes it is pretty flattering to have a secret admirer but he does feel kind of bad. he's really the only one benefiting from these transactions so he goes about setting up security around his home and calling the companies that the products that are being sent to him are from to see who is buying them but all they say is that they want to keep being anonymous. and when he asks his parents, they just smile that smile that parents do when they know something you don't and just say the person wants to be anonymous.

the breaking point is when he off handedly mentions that he misses hanging out with his parents since he's just been so busy juggling work and being superman and hasn't found time to visit for as long as he would like (in my mind he visits his parents at least every other week. just only for a lunch or dinner before he has to zip off again) so Bruce decides to give Mr. and Ms. Kent an all expenses paid trip so they can visit their son in metropolis. of course, Bruce has to beg them to let him do so but they manage to reach an agreement and they go visit Clark.

after Clark sends off his parents at the airport and goes back home, he immediately calls Bruce and is like hey let's have dinner together at my place and so Bruce comes by none the wiser and is eating at the table with Clark when he's like I know what you've been doing. Bruce mid bite looks up at him with startled deer in headlight eyes and immediately apologizes. he's saying sorry if he was making Clark uncomfortable or if it was too much and if Clark didn't want to talk to him ever again he would understand when he's interrupted mid tirade by Clark kissing him that he just can't help melting into.

when they break apart Clark tells him that its fine and that he really appreciates the gifts and he just wanted to be able to give back as much as Bruce gave him.

and they live happily ever after.

Imagine being being traumatized and used since you were essentially a toddler with no true sense of self identity and then having to uproot your whole life, move to a whole other continent, to live with strangers who clearly don’t like you and expect you to assimilate to their way of life even though they don’t explain it to you and saw that everything that you’ve learned is wrong. And when you put your whole being in learning how to act like them and learning the right way of doing things. you never get the recognition for all the effort you put in and get insulted, the strangers your supposed to see as family often using your insecurities to put you down.

And even after you finish your redemption arc the fandom treats your entire personality as “Tim drake hater”

I’m trying to find this fic (it’s Damian centric but idk if it’s tagged as such) and the only part I really remember is that Damian is walking (puppy) Titus and either he lets go of the leash or the dog starts running and Damian trips or something and his internal dialogue is something like, “he’s so small, he doesn’t know how to protect himself yet he needs someone bigger to protect him”

And there’s another fic or maybe the same fic idk but it’s with Damian and Titus again and Titus barks at a squirrel or something alike and Damian is like I should punish the dog so he knows how to behave and then is like wait I shouldn’t do that and he starts reflecting upon himself/childhood i think

we haven't utilised the fact that damian has a phd in economics and has canonically helped run WE while bruce was in the time stream.

like theres sooo much potential for a crack fic or something.

Damian is cutting up some fruit for breakfast in the morning when drake walks in with dark eye bags and a scowl on his face but in a perfectly fitted suit

damian nodds at him, acknowledging his presence sensing that drake isn't up for a conversation at 7 am.

"uggghhh. they should make it illegal to have a board meeting at 7;30 am." drake grumbles, turning towards Damian expecting a scathing remark and pleasantly suprised when hes met with damian's thoughtful expression.

"i could attend the meeting in your place drake," damian offers finally meeting his gaze.

tim takes some time to mull it over, if he wasn't running on 1 hour of sleep he would've realized the cons of letting his 10 year old baby brother go to a board meeting but since he wasn't thinking of all the things that could go wrong he just mumbled a, "ya sure, It's your funeral." and walked back to his room to sleep.
