Del’s Deck - Intro

So, as we know, I’m not very consistent about doing daily draws. I actually do often do them even when I don’t post, but it is cumbersome between devices and schedule changes. At the same time, I am often asked about my deck and its origins. I really love it, and though I have experimented with other decks, this is the one that I use exclusively at present. 

In the coming weeks, we are going to explore the minor arcana of this deck that I use, and some of the basics about the imagery, symbolism, and touch on its numerology. My style focuses more on the impressions I receive from each card in individual readings, so I will mostly touch on a few basics of each card instead of in-depth analyses. Later in the year, I will do a major arcana series as well with this deck. I’m still sketching and planning it out. I’m putting the final touches on these minor blogs as we speak. I can’t wait for y’all to see it up close!

so...where I’ve been

I’d just say “things got busy,” and that’s true, they did.  But there’s something I’ve never completely explained here, so I’ll try to do that now! More or less, my life is really cyclical. I’m not entirely sure why this is. I get better about making some things more consistent. But at the same time, there’s a nice comfort in that; knowing that things will change again, and that I’ll come back around to what I was doing before. I’ve still been doing readings, just very privately. Something I learned a lot during a strong period of enlightenment (that’s a story I still have to queue up for another day...) is that things matter only in the now.  What I mean to say is, in typical Pisces fashion, is that if I did something in the past, and you only see it now--accept it if it resonates with you, no matter when you come across the message: you were meant to see it in that time. Even if they were in the past, those messages are not old.  Sometimes, I feel the need to do things publicly and spread some good out into the world. Other times, I need to take things in and gather messages from the world. Does that make sense? So that’s why it doesn’t bother me when you don’t hear from me for months on end. But I am going to set some things in place to share more from my end and to learn more from all of you, because some people are the opposite of me (oh shock and disbelief!). ‘Til next time, and much more consistent here on out... -Del

I'm so sorry this is so late in the day! #tfw you get news so good that the cards congratulate you! I pulled the Ace first this morning and couldn't quite place it. I wasn't getting an "unhappy" vibe, despite the social (and meteorological) climate as of late. Then I remembered I like to do #twofers on Tuesdays and pulled a second card. Remember the Princess of Swords yesterday? This piggybacks on that: things are coming together. Your resources, team, maybe even finances. The stage is getting set. The ace isn't there to dampen your mood, just a reminder to not let the excitement get to you. Feel good, you're on the right track, but keep your head cool. Don't fuck it up!

Don't sit tight and wait for others to solve problems for you, but don't charge ahead without thinking things through either. Challenges are coming, but brains are just as effective as brawn. Stay observant and you'll know when it's time to use either.

Maybe holiday obligations are taking too much out of you, or someone took your kindness for granted. If you're an introvert like me, you could just be overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted from all the running around and emotional energy this time of year requires. Emotions are high and it's not always easy wrangle them, even if they're positive and happy. Self-care is just as, if not more important this time of year. Remember that!

This is going to pick at you for a long time. It won't be (or hasn't been) sudden, but rather one brick at a time, one little crack here and there that grows, and as you're trying to fix everything, you find yourself with a fistful of dust, the foundation crumbled and gone. What's left? You. You're left and still standing. The good news is that you can spot the pattern and plan ahead. Somewhere in the muck and mire, you will find an anchor point to balance, catch your breath, and rebuild. Don't give up, but don't ignore it either. Ignorance is not bliss.

Technical Difficulties

Just discovered that 6tag has not actually been posting here to tumblr from my instagram. I've d/c and r/c'd a few times to no avail. So, this morning's post will be delayed a bit.

It's not the biggest of things or maybe even a dealbreaker, but you're right if you feel someone has slighted you recently or maybe the universe is making life a little extra tough just for you. The lesson here is not to let yourself be consumed by it.
