what about instead of older!rabbot x younger!reader, it's older!reader x younger!rabbot. they probably met her while they were in med school or when they're med students trying to get by

SO LET'S TEST THIS. This might just end up as a series of drables or an actual fic. I don't know, that'll be up to my brain (which most days is wonky). English isn't my first language, so some phrases I use might be bit out of place.

So let's start with some backstory.

Rabbot already knew each other from college. We're also probably in a semi-relationship. You know, it's college.

They meet the reader in college through some social thing. A friend of a friend and all that.

Reader was friendly enough, but being 15 (or 20) years older, they're like that cool older sibling for them at first.

Being someone who already went through college (although not med school), they can relate to the woes of college students. Helps the boys with things they could help with. Feeds them because lord knows med school is hard enough, and college boys aren't really known for eating healthy and sleeping enough.

And like most Mikey and Jackie's ages, they get infatuated. Got jealous of each other when they realized it. Has tiffs that the reader didn't understand because they thought that the two were together.

They eventually make up when reader refused to talk to them until they sort themselves out, 'you're big boy now, whatever issues you have, you fix it, or you're not welcome in my home.'

The idiots have a sort of heart-to-heart and found out they both do love each other and reader. But it was complicated. 'Dude, it's already hard enough we're gay for each other. Add to that that we love like them? Pretty sure they already have people lined up at their door waiting for a chance.'

So they resolve themselves to having each other while also being secretly in love with reader.

Thus the years they secretly pined for them all through out college and into their intern years.

They eventually figure things out and court reader but that's for another day.

Burning hot take: we should add the races of a reader next to their gender or sex.

POCs shouldn’t be the only people required to specify the race of their reader. So if your reader isn’t GENUINELY racially ambiguous, put the race you wrote them as.

It’s getting exhausting to read an x reader and then suddenly be bombarded with traits that dark skinned people, specifically Black people, don’t have at all. From naturally straight hair to pale skin.

And if you want to write a racially ambiguous character, avoid referring to the color of their skin at all. I’m talking “their cheeks turned pink” or “their lips were turning blue” because dark skinned people don’t change color like light skinned people do.
