I’m really smart and beautiful and sometimes I don’t believe that but that doesn’t stop it from being true
2026 I Will Not Obsessively Ruminate On Stupid Bullshit That Makes No Sense And Is Not Real

Wake up and open your curtains. Your windows too.
Drink some tea or coffee, whatever pleases you. Notice every sip.
Have some fresh fruit and finish breakfast feeling full.
Stand outside and feel the air. Cool or warm, it will make you feel real.
Get some exercise. Yoga to soothe, running to breathe, lifting for strength.
Take care of your body. Have a nice shower and pamper as much as you want afterward.
If you’re going to work, remember you have the chance to make anyone’s day or to ruin it. Act accordingly.
Weed out the bad language. It’s only creating tension in your body and mind. Kind words are infinitely more appreciated.
Take some time each day to improve your mind. Keep reading that great book. Listen to an incredible piece of music. Practice an instrument or a skill. The progress is its own reward.
Pictures will help you remember how wonderful life is. But spend less time on your phone and more time seeing the world face to face.
Go to sleep knowing that you have done well. Tomorrow is there with room to become even better.
-Notes to myself on how to become a better person this summer.
Bothersome beast, comforting friend
if you're a human adult you physically need to eat actual vegetables, read real books, work, exercise, be outdoors, have sex, and have other real adult humans to talk to all on at LEAST a weekly basis or else you go will literally go completely insane and the problem is too many people choose to skip all those basic needs on purpose
"I'm depressed and always tired and my body is in mysterious pain all the time for no reason" yeah you've spent a whole month isolated except for talking to online people and coworkers and eating convenience store snacks for half your meals with 0 physical activity like that isn't passive self harm. of course your body doesn't like that, it's exhausting

i cant think of the fact that humans send messages saying ’where are you? who are you?’ from earth to the giant and empty space all around us for too long because it makes me cry so hard and feel so human and lonely
things that humans have sent to space as a friendly gesture that make me cry my eyes out:
- whale songs
- sounds of footsteps, laughter and a kiss
- an hour-long recording of the brainwaves of someone who was, among other thoughts, thinking about what it is like to fall in love
- an illustration of two people holding hands
- so many sentences in almost 60 languages, including these: ’Friends of space, how are you all? Have you eaten yet? Come visit us if you have time.’ ’Greetings from a computer programmer in a small university town on planet Earth.’ ’Are you well?’ ’We are happy here and you be happy there.’ ’How's everyone? We all very much wish to meet you, if you're free please come and visit.’ ’Wishing you happiness, health and many years.’ ’Welcome home. It is a pleasure to receive you.’

sometimes I see older people and I’m like... how do you do it? how do you cope with the loss of people and places and things as life progresses
