Family Dynamics - Draft Ideas.
They say the male decides the gender and in Trip's case, his Dad is (following the EXE universe) the son of Count Zap, while Count Zap is one of two brothers. So in my head, it would seem more likely that there would be more Boys than Girls. (However, I know that may not always be the case and it can be absolutely random pot luck or the opposite to the expected trend)
Now if I do or don't follow the EXE storyline, then it does bring up an array of other matters that would need resolving. In this case though, as Trip is a descendent of the Zap name, yes, the names would likely be all electric inspired; to counter this though, Topaz (no series ties) has a family naming convention to but only applies to girls and that's having them named after a birthstone of their month. (Perhaps the safer option would be a middle ground of the ideas?)
For now though, to keep it simple, we'll keep running with the EXE storyline, after all this is like a first draft. (These other things can be addressed if I ever get any time to properly commit to the idea.)

Trip & Topaz (seriously, Tumblr needs to add yellow)
The pair were recruited Net Agents/Savers in their teens and are well known to both Sci Labs and the Net Police. Both groups now help support and partially fund them in present day.
While their situation or them are not a secret, they do try and keep their public presence low key.
Both modelled when they were younger and much smaller for a bit, due to their extraordinary size but once they started shooting through the double figures they were forced to stop due to all the extra attention it was garnering. It was quite the money maker at the time though, being paid several times above average rate per shoot.
Trip and Topaz did marry at a young age, once they both turned eighteen.
Present day Trip, works as a low key government assistant, he goes about helping to clear up roads after accidents, fallen trees, toppled over lorries, sometimes construction problems or helping with relief and clean up after a natural disaster/accident.
This means Trip can easily be away from home, ranging from a few days to a week, depending how far he needs to go. He gets around discretely via a lorry, which has to stop every few hours so he can stretch back out to full size as he now has to shrink down to fit in. (The lorry is padded out at minimum)
Trip and Topaz don't actually require much to eat, as long as they have plenty of sun and water at hand. However, this doesn't really work in the colder months and could easily eat a couple of months worth of shopping in a single sitting. They do still do meals to have at home with the kids though.
Present day Topaz, works from home, splitting her day between being a Mum and coding for various projects, whether that's helping Sci Lab or something independent. To bring in extra income, she does still occasionally do hacking jobs for others for a price, now and then the Net Police also ask for her help with hacking cases.
Biologically, Topaz has gone through the most changes, she stopped cutting her hair or even tried having a short style as it simply grows back out, usually even longer than before, in an almost petal shedding manner, revealing healthier, thicker hair underneath, (this is usually a good indication when a growth spurt is near) her old hair naturally decomposes within the hour.
Much to her chagrin and embarrassment as she never thought she would have one, she has developed the very cliché and overly curvy Mum bod. Trip happens to like the curves though and reminds her often she still looks great , even seven kids later.
At full size, Topaz looks no different, due to the size difference, it was hard to even know she was pregnant. Even when shrunk down a bit, at the end stages, she may have only looked a couple of months to people. After the disaster of the first one, where Topaz out grew multiple rooms, after originally shrinking down to fit in a hospital, all other births were done at home.
The pair use to be able to revert back easily to about 6ft with little effort and hold it, so they would still blend in with ease but it has become harder as they've got older and that height has only increased over time. At present, for a brief time and lots of concentration, they can shrink back down to anything between 10-13ft on a good day.
Present day, Trip and Topaz are still growing but their growth spurts have diminished to only once or twice a year. No one is sure when the pair will officially stop, test results have always come back inconclusive. However, what use to be many for tiny amounts, has turned to a couple for large amounts. They are concerned that another major one may occur before they stop entirely.
Due to their present size, the Net Police are currently looking for a new place to home them, worried that Trip especially (his growth rate has always been slightly more, they theorise it is because he was in the middle of puberty and growing at the time this all started) will become too big for their current residence. After all, when they were first moved in, the pair were small enough to actually go to the second floor. Now Trip and Topaz live on the ground floor, while the kids have the upper floor.
It is entirely unknown if this condition is inheritable or if all, none or maybe only some of the kids will develop it but they are checked regularly for anything irregular but so far all seems normal but all eyes are on the eldest and his approaching mid to late teen years.
Dislikes - Insults against the family.
Bears the brunt of the responsibility, is hardworking and loyal, values family and loves being the oldest with lots of siblings.
Dislikes - Invasion of Privacy
Distant from most the family and often goes around as if there's a chip on his shoulder. He's prone to comparing his life to other kids.
The athletic one who can't sit still, social, engaging with mischievous energy but very competitive and serious about his sports.
Doesn't venture outside much, a sickly child who was home schooled up until recently but a natural talent with crafts.
A quiet child who is insecure over his bizarre family situation. Takes others comments to heart fuelling the cycle.
Energetic and joyful, who loves everyone, she doesn't like seeing others sad especially her siblings.
Is envious of her Mum, seeing her as a beauty goal that she won't be able to surpass. Is spoilt by others for being the youngest.
