hey this gets so much sadder when you realize azune didn't really have a home to go back to (besides the home he might have with the fangs, which he feels is imposing on them when he makes use of it), and thinking about the fact that when he went INTO the war, he was a literal child and hes coming out of it as an "adult" (probably only 17 at most? 15 or 16 more likely? he's like 27 now and the war ended 12 years ago)
