“Why do you want to ruin your body?”  Aurora looked at him exasperatedly. “What the hell is wong with you, Rhett?” She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths before speaking in a calm voice, “okay… can I, at least, kindly know what’s the reason behind this self-harm of sorts?”

“I’m just a little upset I guess. I always get this way around this time of year. I’ll go back to my two or three cigarettes a day soon. I’ll be fine.”

“Yeah but, there’s a healthy limit to being a chimney. You’ve exceeded that,” she said sarcastically and took this cigarette from him too. “Now, unless you want me to do this to each and every cigarette that you have… Stop. Smoking. Now.”

Rhett rolled his eyes, snatching the cigarette back before she could stub it out. “Stop doing that! It’s either this or drinking. Liver or lungs. So just...let me be an adult and ruin my body if I want to. Stop trying to control my life, because you are not helping.”

The words caught her a bit of guard. That was something knew to her. Most guys wanted Dallas over her. “Well, color me surprised.” A giggle left her lips as she looked at him. “Where would you want to go on this date?”

“Why would you be surprised?” He smiled. “Well, there’s this neat little drive-in theater a couple towns over. I didn’t know they still did drive-ins, but they are showing Crimson Peak this weekend. Would you like to go to that?”

Stella invited him in and plopped down on the couch. “I’m glad you enjoyed,” she said with another chuckle. “Would you like some wine?”

Aero shrugged, he wasn’t supposed to be drinking, but he figured it couldn’t hurt. “Yeah, I’d love some.”

“Rhett, this is the fifth cigarette you’ve smoked in an hour. The room’s become a fucking smoke chamber. So, don’t tell me you can take care of yourself,” said Arurora as she got up and took the cigarette out of his hand, stubbing it in he ash try.

Rhett pulled out another one, lighting it up. “It’s my body. It’s my cigarette. Hell, it’s my room. I’ve taken care of myself for this long, I’m sure I can manage. I like smoking.”

Stella blushed slightly. But, she was a little more than tipsy to care about what the word ‘everything’ meant. “Really? So, did you enjoy the view?” She asked with a chuckle.
