Naruto Shippuden | Happy Birthday Itachi 6/9
have you wished a happy birthday to our lord and saviour itachi uchiha yet

Domestic Headcanons | x |
âș What their welcome (or not-so-welcome) mat would say
Nothing. He likes the minimalist and monochromatic aesthetic and would prefer a plain, black mat.
â» How late they stay up
Extraordinarily late. Itachi, on a consistent basis, gets between 2-3 hours of sleep and can usually be found awake and sitting by the window or taking a walk outside until 4:00 am in an effort to tire his restless mind..
â If they do their laundry in a timely manner
Of course! He doesnât own much to his name, although he seems to dress well and be generally well-put together. Itachi always makes sure to get his laundry done on time, in the event of an accident or other unforeseen circumstance.
â How theyâd throw parties (what would go on at them, refreshments, etc)Â
Generally speaking, Itachi likes to stay away from large crowds. He doesnât have many close acquaintances, let alone friends, to even desire to put together a social gathering of any kind. Parties are not his style, but if he were to invite friends over, it would be a quiet get-together with tea and maybe a discussion or two on recent politics and world issues (a consistently hot-topic for him).

⟠Sleeping habits
Itachi is a restless sleeper and never gets enough rest. Itâs extremely rare for him to go to bed at a ânormalâ hour. He typically runs on about 2-3 hours of sleep, but when he does fall asleep, he curls in on himself and has to hold on to something-- usually his pillow.
⧠How clean their living space is now, and/or would be ideally
Being that Itachi is a perfectionist by nature, he likes to keep his living space spotless. Between his studies and periods of deep thought, Itachi can be found picking up around the dorm and making sure everything is clean and in its proper place. Sometimes itâs difficult to pull himself out of his own mind and one need only look to the state of the dorm to tell when Itachi is having a particularly bad period.
â What youâd find in their cabinets
Itachi lives modestly and doesnât mind walking to the universityâs dining hall to eat, but he will sometimes cook in his dorm. However, what he mostly keeps the cabinets stocked with is an assortment of sugary snacks, bowls, and other spices for cooking purposes.

Nah, sorry. I canât go out tonight. I have plans to spiral into uncontrollable anxiety starting in the early evening and ending at roughly 3 am.
Itachi Uchiha Probably
Dissonance || Sasuke and Itachi
taka-uchiha:
Sasuke stayed stagnant in the sand. He was buried in his own emotional ocean that weighed down heavy on his chest. It had to be three times his body weight, forcing him someplace that exists only to him. Itâs hell, losing the people you cared about the most. The feeling never really goes away. It stays with you. Tonight, however, it hurt the most.
He had no more tears to shed for his family. Theyâve all been soaked into the pillowcases at the orphanage, or his room at Kakashiâs house. Was it wrong not to cry? Itâs a human thing to do; perhaps the most natural. Yet, the only thing his eyes can do is focus on the waves thrashing against his kneecaps. He sat and thought about itâs instinctive routine- crashing forward, and pulling everything back in. He began to wonder what it would be like if he followed it. Put himself under, and not come back out. The impetus was so strong, he was ready to act on it.
The thought was interrupted, though, when he heard a stranger staggering to his left. It brought him back to reality. Who would be out on the beach this late at night? Of course, college students probably come out here all the time. But this guy was all alone.
He looked like someone he has seen in a dream before. The eery feeling made him deeply uncomfortable. The man was tall. He had to be taller than Sasuke, and thinner, too. He was just as pale, but spoke in a deeper, smoother voice. Somehow, it resonated with the boy more than heâd like to admit. It made him⊠more sad than before. He held his breath. The stranger stared. And stared. There was a connection, but Sasuke couldnât quite figure out what it was.
It was weird, how he stopped midsentence the way he did. It mattered little, though. He just might have prevented an impulsive, dramatic decision. Whether it was for better or for worse, Sasuke brought himself back to the oceans center. He didnât feel like starting a conversation. Not right now. Maybe if heâs lucky, the stranger will just leave him alone and go away.
What should he do? Should he say something? Should he ignore it? Regardless of what he decides, heâs set himself up for a distinct set of decisions and potential consequences by freezing mid-sentence.Â
How was it that years of carefully cultivated composure could crack upon one unfortunately simplistic, chance encounter?
The longer he stared, the longer the silence stretched on and on and despite the singular, minuscule voice that doubted whether or not this was Sasuke, Itachi knew it in his heart. He was so different now-- grown up and... sad.Â
A strange pride that his brother was so handsome filled him and mixed the cold feeling of guilt and anxiety. It threatened to make him sick as it all churned in his stomach.
As the other stared into the ocean, Itachi knew what he was thinking and what he was feeling... or at least, the raven in all his impetuous omnipotence, claimed to know, but there was no way he could know what Sasuke felt... Still, he felt the instinct to walk over and hug him and comfort and console him, but heâd lost that right-- betrayed that privilege a long time ago and there was no chance of getting that back. The process would not just destroy Itachi, but Sasuke as well and that was something he was certain neither of them needed.
Covering up the awkwardness, Itachi cleared his throat and slipped his hands into the pockets of his coat.
âSorry. I thought you were someone else...â he lied.
Despite the fact that he decided not to have a âreunionâ of sorts now, and against all of his better judgement, Itachi stayed where he was and made to begin a conversation although everything within him begged him not to.
âItâs cold tonight. What brings you out here?â
Rook, Meet Weasel || Hidan & Itachi
jashinloveshidan:
âOh shit, really?â
Hidanâs head raised from itâs position from his hands. He was genuinely, and pleasantly, surprised. Somehow, Itachi didnât strike him as the type to have those interests. If he had to guess, Hidan probably would have assumed his roommate was more into psychology; or, at the very least, liberal arts.
All that aside, the other man must be one hell of a workhorse. HidanâŠ. not so much. He tries, he really does. But deadlines are just so hard to keep up with, and papers require too much dedication to the material, and he canât read his notes when he gets home because he wrote them down too fast, and-
The excuses could go on forever. At least one thing is certain: when he actually applies himself, Hidan is one hell of a student. If he pushed himself in the classroom as hard as he did at the gym, heâd undoubtedly graduate with a something cum laude. Perhaps he could learn a thing or two from ItachiâŠ
âI donât understand why youâd put yourself through all that work. Youâve really gotta hate yourself for that.â
He laughed, disguising his not-so-hidden jealousy.
âHey, Iâm sure youâll find something youâll like here. Itâs not the greatest place in the world, but itâs still pretty cool.â
It wasnât his goal to sound pessimistic, but he had to be honest. An early warning is the best warning. And since they will be living with each other for a while, whatâs the point of letting him live with unrealistically high expectations? It sounds like heâs got to be used to this by now, though. Either way, Hidan might as well try to be neighborly.
âNeed any help unpacking? I got nothing to do for the rest of the day.â
A small huff left the raven at the joke. It wasnât the first time someone associated Itachiâs studious nature to self-loathing, but maybe they werenât too far off the mark.
âItâs not that bad.â he insisted with a tilt of his head and a small, noncommittal shrug.
Itachi could appreciate the honesty in the otherâs choice of words. While he could have easily made it to any number of prestigious universities and programs, this smaller scale, ânot the greatest place in the worldâ, university might be what heâs looking for.
âI guess weâll just have to wait and see.â
The demeanor of the other shifted. He was suddenly more amicable than before. It wasnât as though it bothered Itachi before, but the shift was a welcomed one, simply for the fact that it made casual conversation and living arrangements a little easier... if it stuck, at least.
âNo, but thank you. I finished settling in a while ago. I donât have many personal belongings. It makes for easy moving.â he admitted.
âIf you have nothing to do for the rest of the day, perhaps we can grab something to eat? Or I could cook something, if youâd like.â the raven offered. While it didnât look like he ate much, with his willowy appearance, but he was quite the cook... eggs were another thing, though... He was too much of a perfectionist to make eggs.
