WAIT. Not to be controversial but. What if I just enjoy life for what it is right now instead of stressing about what I’ve yet to get out of it. What if I choose to enjoy this time……I know that once it goes, I won’t get it back from anywhere
Tom’s reaction to someone eating a spider.
me, an 11 year old: what even is a semi colon
me, a 21 year old: what the FUCK is a semi colon??????
1. Emphasize relatedness between two independent clauses
Ex: The doctor did not put in xray findings; we can't submit to billing for the charges. (Dr. didn't put xray findings therefore we cannot charge for something we have no proof for. That is how these two are related.)
2. Used to separate clauses
Ex: I'm taking the night shift; I can't go to breakfast tomorrow. (These two can stand alone with just a period I'm taking the night shift. I can't go to breakfast tomorrow. But like #1 they are related, we use the semicolon to connect them. Because i have a night shift -> I can't go to breakfast.)
3. You can use them if you got a bunch of short sentences, we can use a semicolon like in #1 and #2.
There are other ways we can use semicolons using transitional adverbs but these are some of the main reasons that they are used. (Hope this makes sense!
this is the ONLY explanation i’ve ever seen of semi colons that actually makes sense

ways to be more ladylike
- smile at strangers
- avoid cursing
- be kind to others, but especially other women! nobody likes a girl who is constantly putting other girls down
- try to incorporate more dresses & skirts into your everyday outfits if you don’t already
- write thank you notes
- sit with your knees together and your ankles crossed
- don’t gossip, it’s unkind
- be positive & look for beauty in everything. don’t put yourself, or others, down.
- always choose dressing up over dressing down
- focus on your posture
- say please and thank you
- keep your voice gentle (and especially try not to speak over others)
- avoid being attention seeking
- in general, try to stay classy and feminine while still staying true to yourself!
I can't believe home depot literally produced a wildly successful science fiction musical and we all just pretend it didn't happen. on one hand yes it had a boring white guy main character but like.... home depot just... Made it? And it had shit ton of box office sales? and no one even talks about this. this is like avatar (2009) all over again
OK so. After a lot of frantic googling I realized this was all a dream. home depot did not in fact produce a wildly successful science fiction musical. I was on allergy meds and took a nap and my brain simply prophesized this. slightly disappointed because I wanted to watch it.

the whole “i used to be a teen who hated authority only to grow up to become the authority that hates teens” is a bad bad thing that practically every other generation has fallen into and we all need to make an extremely conscious effort not to repeat the fucking pattern
Studies have shown that the shift starts to happen around age 30. If you’re close to that, make a conscious effort to be open to and accepting of younger people. I’m 31 and paying close attention to how I react to young people and new trends and shit and trying to keep myself from developing those thought patterns.

this guy is excelling in a completely unique genre of his own creation that consists of extremely relatable humor steeped in twilight zone horror and i am here for it
just learned that the word “ferret” is derived from the Latin word furittus meaning “LITTLE THIEF” and that a group of ferrets is called a BUSINESS and i am absolutely pleased with this new knowledge
