Breonna Taylor - On March 13, 2020, Breonna Taylor lay sleeping with her boyfriend Kenneth Walker.

Outside police silently gathered, preparing to raid what they believed to be a residence linked to two drug dealers.

One of these drug dealers was thought to be receiving mail at Taylor’s apartment, resulting in a judge signing a search warrant with a “no knock” provision.

The warrant claimed that a US Postal Inspector confirmed that the dealer had been receiving packages at the apartment. Postal Inspector Tony Gooden has said that his office had told police there were no packages of interest being received there.

Taylor and Walker were awoken by a loud bang at the door.

Taylor yelled “Who is it?” multiple times to no response before Walker armed himself with a legally owned firearm.

Walker fired 1 shot before the officers returned with over 20 rounds. Taylor was shot at least 8 times. No drugs were found in the apartment.

Breonna Taylor worked as an EMT. She aspired to be a nurse and had no criminal past. She was working during the coronavirus crisis.

On May 29, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer indefinitely suspended the use of “no knock” warrants. The shooting is currently under investigation.

Yachi, you cute little frightened deer. When miss Hitoka was first introduced, I really thought I was going to hate her. ‘Oh another silly, neurotic girl character.’ Luckily, Yachi is kinda awesome. And she’s, like, the biggest KageHina fan.

The nervous wreck

When we first meet Yachi, she has the lowest self esteem I’ve ever seen in a human being. She gets SUPER nervous about social situations: 'Wait, I have to say something?’ 'What if I impose?’ 'What if I do something embarrassing?’. Yachi is a pro at pulling herself down. She over thinks *everything*. Not knowing someone’s name? She will have to sell her organs to make a living. Add to that the fact that she’s physically tiny and you have this scared little bunny who doesn’t realize how amazing she is. And that is important, because this is a show in which everyone eventually figures out how awesome they are.

If you genuinely enjoy being alone, do you ever wonder if it is an inherent part of your character or if it stems from feeling inescapably lonely in the first place until you taught yourself to enjoy the peace and happiness one can find in solitude? what if the reason you now prefer & choose solitude at every turn is because you were a very lonely child, or teenager, not by your own choice, and that’s how you learnt to thrive and grow, so you no longer know if you can do that around people? There might also be an element of personal pride, an unconscious “you can’t fire me I quit” point when your brain decided to switch your feelings about solitude from distress to relief. I often find myself defending my love of being alone, to people who worry that I can’t possibly be happy to live in an isolated house in the woods; I insist that I do! I really do specifically enjoy the isolated factor and chose to live here because of it, but then I wonder how to differentiate an ingrained love of solitude from an acquired ability to thrive off unchosen loneliness, to learn from it and be nourished by it; to what extent it might be a form of contentment built on a bedrock of resignation.
