Nanami had decided to head to another district, to pick up some Mediterranean ingredients. The summer had made him think of his family vacation in India, so he had decided to pick up something for a new recipe.
He bought some of the curry powder to prepare with chicken, and he headed for the exit. He heard something quite loud from outside, and he exited.
The fireworks had started for the evening, and people were exiting to watch the sky. The street had gathered as people started going to find a spot to watch them, and Nanami huffed through his nose.
Really, it was his fault for waiting for such a late hour, but he'd been planning on spending tomorrow cooking, and picking up something on the way back to his Ward. How annoying.
He turned to his left, to see another man with the exact same expression on his face that Nanami felt, carrying a single grocery bag.
"Fellow night owl?" He mused, wryly. It was really the only reason both were caught in this unfortunate circumstance.
The fireworks, something he's already experienced and had grown bored of did little to pull his attention away from the aisles he walked through. The growing crowd of people didn't sway him from taking a little basket.
Curious looks didn't stop him from taking small sniffs here and there at different produce. Things he's never seen before, that smelled... interesting. He didn't pile up anything, only about three items before he checked out and was stopped by the crowd.
He leered, fully prepared to start shoving his way through before his attention was grabbed.
The man was a bit taller than him, just a bit, and smartly dressed as well.
Hm.
"An old habit," He mentioned with a sigh, "I would've waited even longer before wandering out here if I was just going to be blocked in."
