Do you know what? I figured out the problem. And it is definitely my fault for forgetting. We had a conversation some months or years ago and she had said that at this point in her life, she is doing well for herself. Why would she be with anyone else if they don’t make her life better. So the issue isn’t that I’m horrible. It’s that if I’m not making life better for her then, essentially, I’m making it worse.
