Some fun shots from shooting 2 weeks ago
It rained in LA yesterday and I went out for a run planning on doing 3 mi, maybe 3.5. I’ve been dealing with some health sh*t lately and I just got in a groove and kept running. First time running 5 min in almost 4 years. Just tuned out and ran. Exactly what I needed.
Unplugged this weekend and can’t wait to get back to the woods again 🌲

8 am legs day workout at TM followed by brekkie feat. 2 fried eggs, chicken blueberry sausage, and 1/2 avocado Ps my legs are going to be soooorrrrreeeee tomorrow. My only legs workouts have been at physical therapy (super basic moves) for the past 8 months or so and today I did jump squats and bench step overs and lots of things that are going to make me v stiff tomorrow
Life updates
Anyone remember me??? Anyone? Hello?
Well if you do, hi I’m back! If you don’t, my name is Dempsey and I’m a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor, fitness enthusiast, endorphin junkie, chocolate lover living in LA. BEFORE I just jump right back into posting, I wanna give a brief life update so y’all know where I’m at :)
-I working multiple jobs/projects in the fitness industry. Still own PreGame Fit and am currently working on designing a new workout program. I’m a trainer at a tennis and fitness club in a bougie area of LA which is fun. The staff is great and I’m really enjoying that. More on it later. I’m a representative/influencer for Gold’s Gym. And I still do some work at the Aussie gym I’ve been at forever but hopefully (fingers crossed) going to be a trainer there soon
-I moved in with my boyfriend 😳
-My diet has changed quite a bit. I really enjoy just eating lots of Whole Foods with an emphasis on meat and veggies. I’m sure I’ll hop back on the fruit train once summer rolls around but incorporating more protein and FAT into my diet has done wonders for my body and is so sustainable for me.
-My running is finally coming around. I’m in PT but am able to do 4 quarter miles on the treadmill and am loving every second of it.
-I just miss sharing my life on here so I think this will be a place for some workouts, pics of my adventures (dirt biking last weekend), things I’m learning navigating my 20s, etc.
But overall I’m in a really good place and can’t wait to be back on here. Revamp of the blog coming sooooooon!
So I’ve been sick since Tuesday and by Thursday night had run out of shows to watch (caught up on this is us, riverdale, greys anatomy) so I finally bit the bullet and started breaking bad. Not gonna lie... I’m shocked it took me so long to do this. I’m almost done with season 2 and so addicted 🙈
Long time, no talk
Like... a really long time. Life happens and I got caught up in work and friends and family in the best way possible but I miss Tumblr and blogging and all my friends on here so here’s a little life update and I’ll do a more detailed post later about my goals etc :))
-I’m still working at the gym that I started at last year. It’s been great but recently things have been kinda in turmoil. I was essentially promoted but there isn’t a real position for me and a lot of the fun has been taken out of it. Once again, I’ll fill y’all in more later but work has been exceedingly difficult lately. I thought that this place was all rainbows and unicorns and as I’ve found out it isn’t, it’s been quite a slap in the face and I need to refocus.
-PreGame is going well. I had a friend doing the social media but she’s really fallen off so I’m going to take it back even though I hate Instagram 😂 working out the next steps with the business in general but it’s still my baby and I’m v proud of it
-I really hurt my back about 7 months ago. It was an old injury that got aggravated by too many front desk shifts at TM (moving weights and cleaning mats). I have 2 herniated discs in my lower back - one 8 mm and one 7 mm. I’ve been in PT off and on and got 2 epidural steroid injections and I’m in a much better place than I was a few months ago but still not 100% or even remotely close. It’s definitely been frustrating but it makes me appreciate my health when I do have it.
-I switched my diet up for the first time in awhile and I’ve been pretty happy with the results. I feel really fit and strong.
-I’ve been seeing a guy from work (he’s a trainer) for a few months and I’m v happy with how it’s going. He’s a bit older than me but I think that’s good for me and we just have fun, literally doing anything. He’s so kind and I’m just really happy he came into my life.
Anywayyyyyy I’m gonna be posting much more so let me know what kind of posts youd like to see. I want this to be a place where I can just express myself, almost a diary of sorts and I’m v excited to be back. 😬😬😬😬😬
Oh hay I'm back!!! I am trying to get back into the swing of things in terms of eating, working out, organization, sleeping, life in generalllllll. I love tumblr because it allows me to see all my thoughts in one place and stay motivated etc. So let's go!!!!! WOD FEB 1: (1 min on, 15 sec off) x3: -Chin ups/TRX row -Shuttle run -Dip bars -Renegade Row @ 10, 10, 8 lb -Bosu squats -KB squat & press @ 20 -Rower (178 m, 185 m, 174 m) -Bike hill -Jump rope +9 min abs I also jumped in and did 2 circuits of a workout later that day but it was really chill and I don't feel the need to post it. Lololol. Anyway - I'm on a bunch of supplements so I plan on doing a post on that, work, goals, life update etc Hope you all are having a fantastic day ❤

Today I've just felt really sad and it's caught me so off guard tbh I don't like it at all and I don't know what's causing it so I don't know how to fix it and UGHGHGH All I want to do is cry
I love Massachusetts but I'm next level excited to get back home to LA and into my routine and just get ready to slay 2017 😎

Hi lovelies! Today was amazing and it's only noon. Worked 5:30-11:30 at the gym with two of my favorite trainers and it was super fun and just overall happy and amazing and funny. Now I'm grabbing a coffee and gonna get my hair done because I'm shooting a workout for Access Hollywood at 2:30 Then going to look at apartments and maybe working out and then a date tonight like woah what a day 🙈 Can't wait to get in bed tbh because I'm 10000% exhausted
Hello my friends…long time, no talk.
So I’ve decided that for my first post in a while, I wanted to just be up front and honest about my life currently. I think that’s what a lot of you have been waiting for. I get a lot of questions about post-grad life, so here’s what it’s been like for me.
I am legitimately happy, but feeling slightly lost. I think a lot of you probably know that I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my degrees after graduating from university (Sociology and Communications) and that’s still pretty much the case. I’m currently living at home in Georgia and serving at a local restaurant (it’s wonderful and fun) in order to save money for travel adventures next year.
I feel like a lot of recent grads feel lost like I do, but most of us are too proud to admit it. With social media like Facebook and Instagram, we’re only supposed to talk about the job we just got or the grad program we were just accepted into. I feel like there’s a negativity surrounding the idea of not knowing where your next step is going to be.
I don’t really know what career path I want to go down…or even if I want to go down a traditional career path. One moment I’m thinking about getting my PhD, the next I’m thinking about getting a masters in counseling. In the moments when I have a more “fuck it” attitude I’m like, “Why can’t I just travel and work in restaurants around the world???”
I try really hard to ask myself, “What will make YOU happy?” as opposed to what do I feel is expected to make me happy? I’m trying to figure this out via writing more, reading more, watching/learning about new things, etc.
I’m trying my hardest to embrace not having all the answers to my life right now. So many of us spend the majority of our lives with education being the path that gives us direction. When you’re “done” with formal education, I think it’s perfectly normal to feel slightly discombobulated. An adjustment time is okay and completely warranted. I have friends with “real” jobs and who are in grad school who have these exact same feelings. I think learning to be okay with this lost feeling will help us embrace how thankful we are for our lives in this moment and to not be so completely freaked out over the future…does that make any sense?
I’ll give you guys a more in depth update about my life in a future post but this is sort of a big thing on my mind right now, and something I know you all have been wondering about. Basically, I’m in the same boat as many of you out there.

Perfectly said. Perfect. I'm 25 and legitimately so happy working at a gym and living my life just chill and casually. Do what makes you happy because that's what matters.
little late but my Tuesday was 10/10 wonderful. Up at 5 am, took the 6 and 7 am leg day classes at mate, smoothie bowl for brekkie and a mashup of a bunch of random shiz I had for lunch :))
