when the objectively bad person has traumatic and honestly reasonable reasons for why theyre like that but it doesnt excuse their actions and only serves to make them more tragic as a character
The Summer Yuusaku Died
saw a tiktok of a mother taking her very tiny daughter to an art museum and she’s just walking around going “whoooa” “woooaah” to everything but then they got to a marble statue of a nude woman lying on her back and the girl points and goes “mommy🫵” and i just immediately welled up with tears and all the comments are just laughing about it and of course it’s funny but how are you not insanely moved by the way art connects everyone on earth from a centuries-old sculptor to a toddler in 2023

We actually do not know how many have been killed in Gaza. The numbers of those killed per day are seemingly less everyday compared to the start of the war, but we also hear of new daily massacres. We’re also hearing of Palestinians dying of starvation everyday, a number which is not included in the death toll. There’s not enough search and rescue teams to pull people from under the rubble, or that it’s too dangerous to do so. The Ministry of Health is unable to function properly, doctors and nurses are being killed off as hospitals are routinely bombed over and over, which means the current death toll is not being updated frequently and is most likely inaccurate. The carnage that Israel has left and continues to leave will only further result in the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands, even long after this ‘war’ is over. Does that not scare you? Does that not anger you?
Yeah c'mon
"Laios doesn't know what sex is"(Bad, infantilizes autistic people)
"Laios is super horny"(Closer, but incorrect) I am here to say the truth: Laios is one of those sex-positive asexual guys, and in a modern setting would be one of those guys who has encyclopedic knowledge of BDSM rope-ties and positions, but doesn't actually get anything out of it, and just thinks it's really neat
it’s okay to do things that make your symptoms worse (as long as you’ll stay safe)
every once in a while you need to eat something yummy. or go on a walk. or a trip to the zoo. take a hot shower. cry your eyes out. dance. listen to music. draw for way to long. write. laugh. sit in a cafe with a friend. paint your nails. dye your hair. go on a run. pet a cat
sometimes you need to do things that are cathartic or make yourself feel alive. sometimes you need the reminder of why you’re fighting so hard to stay alive
this is your reminder that just because it makes your symptoms worse, it isn’t always the wrong thing to do. there can be value in these actions
If you think about it too, abled people do it all the time. Deciding to drink to excess at a party knowing they'll have a hangover. Going to a theme park knowing walking all day is going to hurt their feet by the end. We have the right to make those same decisions.
This is called Dignity of Risk, and it's an important concept in disability justice.
Everyone weighs their physical and mental/emotional health against one another in constantly shifting balance; inevitably, there are times when we choose to accept consequences to one for the sake of the other.
Infantilsing us by undermining our agency in the name of "protection" or "care" is yet another way that we are disabled by society.
happy international womens day! remember that there are palestenian women in need of feminine hygiene products! you can donate here, and the cheapest tier is 5$!
if you can't donate, reblog! doing something is better than doing nothing! remember to keep talking, keep calling and keep donating! from the river to the sea, PALESTINE WILL BE FREE!! 🇵🇸
For this International Women's Day I encourage every Feminist and especially every Western Feminist to consider donating to Women in Gaza and in the Congo. If you claim to care about women, reproductive health and freedom, the several ongoing genocides the third world experiences (for your gain) should anger you.
