Ātaahua presenting Poi at the Hauraki Culture Festival 2014. Kapa haka is a dance form of the New Zealand indigenous people known as Maori. The Poi was originally used by the Tane (Males) to strenghen their wrist, nowadays it is used by Wahine (Females) and Tane (Males).
