I'll admit, from watching from a distance I do see an awful lot of myself in that kid, finding yourself thrust into a horrifying supernatural hellscape when you're still only just figuring out who you are as a human is jarring and traumatising. Though what this one has up on me is that he is actively running away from the evil horrors rather than my old habit of running directly into evil's arms.

I don't think you're giving the kid enough credit, he's managed to get himself a job and a home, some decent friends, and by some miracle hasn't murdered anyone or done any demonic deals, which is more than you can say for some of the other fledgelings crossing my dash...
