To be fully candid, if we are writing in Madeleine's main/canon verse (which I'm already canon-divergent really by default however---) there are some horrors that just cannot be negated...if we are following the world of Euphoria this past season, then you are aware of the unspeakable things that she put herself through for the sake of the ones she loved. There's a sh*t ton of symbolism that Levinson layered which was ok, admittedly interesting, however. The absolute disdain I have for him regarding this racist and absolutely ghastly behavior toward the poc community, the white-washing, the unforgivable use of the n-word from a latinx...it's disturbing to say the least...I digress... all this to say that I am grieving in a sense, the loss of Madeleine's good heart and the sheer lack of gratitude... I'm figuring out where her head and heart are and they're not in good places. I know people ship Maddy/Cassie. And in a way they are very much endgame, but to go back to that happy applie-pie life after what Alamo did and said just does not feel like it is in the cards for her. Not to mention, I always felt that she should be the 'it' girl in front of the camera, running her own god damned empire and I want nothing more than that for her. So whilst I navigate this perspective, I may struggle a little bit with finding her footing in that world. I'm just asking for patience/kindness. I do not like the over-all character assassination as a whole for what Levinson did, least of all for Rue (which he said after the loss of Angus, he saw no other outcome for Rue...wild behavior but ok...) But, for Madeleine in particular, and the way that it was just brushed beneath the rug, all that she'd done to save and protect...I'm ...more than mildly irritated and just overall ick. TLDR; we may have to really hash things out/plot/talk it out to be in a comfortable space for Euphoria-land circa S3.

i know i don't have to, but i want to apologize for how slow i can be sometimes, like that starter call has been up since the beginning of april and i've only gotten to a few of them. yes, i work full time and run a small business but still, it's also just more difficult watching sam levinson fuck with and slay someone i love so much / so having to adapt her story and watch this god awful storyline just...well now she's free. so. i'm praying it's easier to write her with that freedom. if you ever want to plot/talk/mingle/what-have-you, i'm all game. thank you for hanging w/me and mads through all these years and the reboot. xo
