I'm laughing so hard. Lisa straight up kills a bat for no reason in the first episode. Now I'm just imagining this was an impulse reaction, like it flew at her face and startled her, because if you're seeking help from the man rumored to be a vampire, killing one of his 'maybe' pets probably isn't a great way to kick things off.
My new headcanon is Dracula can become a colony of bats like Lenore and Alucard can, so he was in fact the swarm in the opening scene getting an incognito look at who was at the front door, where he got stabbed out of nowhere, and then had to quickly play it off like it didn't happen. Lisa never found out but suspected for years.

Chapter 12 is here. But unfortunately I'm needing to take a hiatus from it. I haven't been able to write well lately and I do not want to force the content of this. I have the end already planned so I want to give it the best attention when my mind is in a better place. Thank you to everyone who has read, commented and left kudos. Thank you @gleafer for your amazing art. @goodomensafterdark

Thus Saith the Lord, Chapter 4
Chapter 4: YOU THINK IT'S HOT HERE? JUST IMAGINE HELL.
Summary:
They've averted Armageddon. Again.
What's next for an angel, a demon, and the best car in the world? Setting out for parts (mostly) unknown.
Along the way, they'll live in the present, revisit their past, and maybe, just maybe, discover what the future holds (hint: it's a cottage in the South Downs).
Chapter Excerpt:
āTheyāre brilliant buggers, humans,ā Crowley says, and Aziraphale feels a swell of affection in his chest ā for the people heās watched over for millennia, for the demon who helped save them yet again.

Reblog if youāre over 20 and still read/writeĀ fan fiction.
Iām curious!
How many times will I reblog this?
Yet again.
50 and very happily reading and scribbling.
Its so wild to me that so many young people nowadays think fanfic is something that only kids and teens do.
Back when I first got into online fanfic communities as a young teen, the majority of the fanfic communities were as they are now - adults. Minors were the minority (no pun intended). Minors who admitted to being minors were even more of a minority, because we knew damn well that if we wanted our smut - or wanted others to read our smut - then we had to make the adults think that we were One Of Them.
And having those cross-generational friendships was fantastic! I didnāt have much opportunity in my real life to have social interaction with adults who werenāt either family or friends of family, and being able to interact online with adults as āpeersā was really good for me. It gave me a much more varied view of things, and also gave me a fantastic community of people with more life experience than me whom I could turn to for advice.
And I know that, just like me, all those people are still reading and writing fic 25+ years later. And those who have sadly passed on were reading and writing fic right up until their deaths.
Itās not unusual to be reading/writing fanfic in your twenties - or in your thirties, forties, fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties, etc.
Youāre never too old for fandom, no matter what anyone else says.

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
I found fanfic for the first time in my life in my mid-40ās and the happiness it has brought me is immense. The positive outcomes cannot be measured. I have made some of the dearest friends I have ever known, after feeling like an outsider most of my life.
Being a part of fandom might not be something that everyone wants to do, or would get the same things out of as me, but I simply cannot imagine actively discouraging people from it based on something as arbitrary as their age.
