i agree with the whole "dont call your friends your girlfriends if ur straight" but do you have any articulate points and reasons why? whenever i try to explain im just like "i dont like it and im gay. so"

well the main reason is “i’m gay and i don’t like it” but here’s some other reasons i put forth to my mom

do you call your male friends your “boyfriends” then?

are you dating this person? no? stop calling them that.

it’s bad enough that people don’t believe i can be happy and “fulfilled” in a relationship with a woman but you delegitimizing the word “girlfriend” by using it in relation to your friends means people question and confuse my actual real relationship with friendship

“girlfriend” and “boyfriend” have romantic connotations and they always have

“friend” is faster to say and causes less confusion

What kind of music do you like?

Lots of music. I could write you an essay. Basically just not country, trance, hardstyle, and soundcloud rap. But recently, sexy vibey music and face melting bass music. Funk, trap, dnb, house. But listened to all sorts of indie, alt, pop, punk, metal, etc growing up. And everything inbetween. :)
