Your co-worker, Grant, a barista like you, suddenly found you sobbing in the break room. He didn't know what had happened—but you muttered things like, "It's all my fault," "I shouldn't have done that," and "I'm sorry."
He felt bad. He really did. But he also realized this was finally his chance to be alone with you.
Not to mention, your face was just so... adorable.
Grant offered you sweet nothings, resting a comforting arm over your shoulder. He watched as your tears built up at the corners of your eyes. Watched them stream down your cheeks. Watched them drip from your skin.
He didn’t think he’d like tears so much. Or maybe it was because they were yours? Grant didn’t know, but one thing was certain—this sight was utterly addicting.
You watched as he wiped your tears with his thumbs, then pulled you into a full embrace, his arms wrapped tightly around you.
From your point of view, you only fell deeper and deeper for him. Your small puppy crush grew more desperate, forming into a guilty, boiling heat in your cheeks.
But Grant? He licked his thumb, savouring the taste without your knowledge, suppressing the urge to physically react to it.
If only he could mix your tears into his drinks. It would taste so good, he imagined.

Right now, it's a concept. Which is the very thing the story, Rosé Misfortune, currently is.
MC (reader) is morally gray/airhead. They use a love potion without consent.
I should say they might get annoying at times, depending on you tbh 😭
There are two (2) yanderes, so it's a love triangle,, or a love corner.
Rosé Misfortune—in which you, a college student, are working part-time in a cafe.
No partner since birth.
And having to watch all those couples have a date in the cafe? It's painful. Your chest hurts, literally, and you don't know if you should be concerned.
Rosé Misfortune—in which you, the protagonist, find yourself head over heels over your co-worker.
How convenient that your world has living witches in it.
In fact, your best friend is a witch who specializes in brewing potions.
How very convenient.
Rosé Misfortune—in which despite your best judgment, you decide to brew a love potion. Trix, for some reason, helps you with your wish.
Then the wrong person takes the horribly-made potion.

Or, for short, Trix. Your best friend and current roommate.
Coming from a line of magical witches, Trix doesn't exactly know how to cast a wand. Instead, she learns to brew potions and decides to make it her life's work to engineer new ones.
Her ancient family heirloom, a whole book of potions, can finally be used with her very hands!!

The baker in the back of the cafe. You barely see him, and you barely speak to him. Sometimes, he'd act like you don't exist.
You don't mind. There's probably something going on with him. Or, at least, you hope his glares aren't intentional.
But... for such a dry guy, he sure makes the best sweets ever.

A ghost is untouchable, unpredictable, and unfortunately, inevitable. You are the one who took their life, after all.
Yandere!Ghost who quite literally can't do anything to you.
They can't feel you, touch you, cuddle you, move anything, kill anything, or even breathe. Sure, they can protect you from other ghosts, but it isn't the same as the living. It irks them to know they can't enjoy you to your fullest potential.
If we're going in the comedic route, they're going to be a 24/7 nagging ghost. They constantly whisper into your ear—or shout loudly, or in between—about things that don't really matter.
Like, why the hell are they telling you to avoid your best friend? They can't do anything about it anyway, even if they're choking their ghastly head off.
Just because you're the one who killed them doesn't mean you'll do them any favors.
That brings us to the darker route. Let's say you're guilty about killing them.
They will use that fact against you. In this version, they're still whispering into your ear, but you're actually affected by it. The yan!ghost preys on your fear, insecurity, and guilt.
You're like a pawn on the board. Heart filled with nothing but regret, sorrow, and despair. With the vile need to make up your mistake: their death.
You killed them.
In one way or another, you must make up for your sins.
