Hive absolutely won't work on my phone (Samsung S10).

Mastodon is too confusing. Too many servers. Needs to be ONE central ".com" address.

Twitter doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I'm @Derek_Brink there.

So unfortunately...look for me on Twitter... But I've also started to remember what I liked about Tumblr. So I guess look for me here, too.

Oakspire Ale is a collaboration between New Belgium and Four Roses whiskey. I like several New Belgium beers and I LOVE Four Roses whiskey. So this was an instant grab at the grocery store tonight!

Apparently this partnership goes back to 2018, but I didn't know about it until tonight. In my defense, there was (is?) a pandemic that kept me out of stores for a couple years. But still, I'm surprised this went under my radar.

It's delicious. Obviously. It smells sweet. It has an appropriately rosy yet golden hue. It's tastes so complex that I can't even describe it...there's definitely a lot of ale in there...but that warmth that is UNMISTAKEABLY Four Roses settles right into your chest with the first swallow. And at a 9% ABV, you get more by drinking less.

I hesitate to use the word "perfect."

But it is.

(Even Jonco the Cat wanted a sniff! But don't worry fellow cat-lovers. Sniffs are all he gets, and usually I don't even let him THIS close to a glass!)

I've missed specifically this.

Any chance in hell that Tumblr might be fun again now that Twitter isn't? Or are posts where you have a picture of your bare elbow still being flagged as porn?

Tumblr has flagged pictures of my fingers, knees, and a post about me eating tacos as having "adult content" in them.

Is tumblr any better now that they're doing something about the porn? Is it usable again?
