Male Snowy Owl in a Winter Storm
My Snowy never looked that good!
Cedar, my 3X PFRT out in the weathering yard for some evening sun. We are so very looking forward to our 4th hunting season together!
My sanity, all wrapped into one big floof.
Cuuuuute!
There are only a few people who understand 'floof'. Pretty girl who is all comfy! 😊
I thought this was a great falconry parody brochure!
Cooter-tastic! So….does anyone else like to smell their hawk?? Poor Cooter…he really puts up with a lot😣
I absolutely love this picture. Just seeing it touches my heart. — It reminds me of me and my bird.
I don’t think it’s strange to enjoy the way someone you love smells…for humans, it’s perfume or cologne — you smell it on the street and it takes you back to your first love, or on the couch or a t-shirt and it reminds you of who you’re in love with now. For birds, it’s the soft smell of feathers. Love is love. Animals know, sometimes better than people, what love looks like.
Also, something I’ve noticed about birds is that when they love you, they allow you to play with them, pet them, they like to be near you and don’t fly off for good. That’s love to them. They’re so free, they could just fly off and have that be it, but that they choose to stay, to let you be close to them — that’s the way they honor you with their love.
So no worries. :)
Thank you, I do love the smell of Cooter, but it’s more amazing that he lets me get that close! I have immense respect and just plain awe for my little guy….falconry is different but totally worth pursuing!😍
About Photography....
remember this photography aphorism: "Amateurs worry about gear; professionals worry about money; masters worry about light."
Some more falconry crafts this weekend. I made this braided leash and Jess set. http://www.theaustringer.com/?p=2625
So, I made some Kestrel Jewelry the other day... http://bit.ly/kessie

Did you hear about the ‘Lord of Circles’ from the new country? his name is “SirComeFromFrance” #puns
Today starts an epic adventure in Falconry.
Too many people in a conference room has many causes. In the best of worlds, it’s just because there was no large room available. More often it is because someone is overinviting, adding many people who don’t really have anything to add to the discussion or decision, but that get asked to come...
It's so cold outside, I saw a Yeti, the Abominable Snowman, and Bigfoot playing Strip-Poker out in the forest.
Fans here should get this right away. No spoilers in the comments! http://ift.tt/1c7Bzn7
Now listening to symphonic spasms #dnb as I enjoy a nice drive through the #PureMichigan fall colors
