As a child, I adored the town life. I enjoyed the independence that comes with the security of a life far away from the dangers of the city and the endless fields ready to be transformed into a playground for my imaginations. But as I got older, something changed. I realised that my freedom was limited and the town I once praised for its advantages slowly started suffocating me. I felt like I couldn’t breathe as if the commonness of my surroundings squeezed my lungs and the only way to get fresh air again is to move away, say goodbye to everything I am so familiar with, and welcome the excitement the city brings.
