Enjoying the French revolution often involves talking about Robespierre as if I knew him personally
Unhappy Early Thermidor art DD:
I mostly wanted to practice with my skills in drawing angst⦠I usually draw fluff
That is how I imagine Robespierre's copy of The Social Contract:
you want me to have coworkers? the thing that killed maximilien robespierre????
Robespierre (drawn after watching La Terreur et la Vertu)
Completely forgot I had tumblr so Iβll just be gradually posting all my frev art <3π

The origins of the French flag π«π·
The French flag has its origin in the French Revolution. The people of Paris wanted a flag that represented them instead of the monarchy's white banner.
The first design was proposed by Camille Desmoulins who chose green as the main colour of the flag since it represented hope. However, as green was associated with the King's brother, red and blue were picked instead as both were colours linked with Paris.
Later, a white stripe was added to the flag by the Marquis de La Fayette as a way of represent the monarchy.
These colors also hold deep symbolic meaning: blue represents freedom, white represents equality, and red represents fraternity.
Art is over a week old, but he's still my favorite.
Today I saw someone call aristocratic women who opposed the French Revolution badass for said opposition and I felt a small part of my hope in humanity die right there.
