This is mainly something to keep me company because.. Work gets boring. Y’know? Ever since I’ve started this job I’ve been getting paranoid, so this helps me take my mind off of things!l

But if you ask me, I think it’s the fact Elias won’t tell me what happened to the old head archivist and the archival assistants. I can’t find it on the news either..

They think I’m crazy. Like, lost my marbles entirely.

Thing is, I found this… Trap door in the Archives? Like, full on old, dusty, hidden under a rug. I asked Elias about it but he just says not to worry about it and to not go in! I mean, yes, I’ve thought about going down there, but the thought gives me the heebie jeebies.

Simon already thinks I’m crazy for giving away a rib, even more so since I could barely explain… And he’s spread his concerns over to Lark and Jen. So, none of them would even listen to me in the first place!

And I think something’s — I dunno — watching me? I’ve been super on edge and the fact nobody’s listening to me isn’t helping, and not to mention someone’s been recording over some of my statements with… laughter? Hell, it’s so glitchy I can barely tell what it is, but I just needed to.. get all this out of my system.

Err.. sorry I’ve been gone so long, I’ve sort of been busy recording statements and all that.

But I figured I should return on the account that I found… A trap door? It looks dusty, like someone’s been trying to hide it. Not to mention I’m starting to feel watched.

Maybe It’s just the lack of sleep, but I keep hearing this laugh in the back of my head, it’s driving me mad.

They should break, but they bend- in an awkward way that feels downright wrong- before yanking them out like a bandaid. He holds them out in front of the new archivist, the tips of the ribs slightly blackened, almost as if held to a fire for too long*

Haven’t seen something like this before.

*Jared shrugs, and shoves them into his body, not allowing Laurel a second to even ponder what he saw*

Alright then, what do you want to know?

*And Laurel proceeds to let out a scream, the feeling of a hand poking and prodding around in his body was utterly excruciating, something that ran his throat nearly raw.*

*By the time it’s over, he’s breathing heavily as he leans against the desk for a portion of stability, eyes flicking to glance at the ribs just before—*
