Character Development Questions

Send me one or more and I'll answer these in depth questions

What’s an important lesson your muse has learned over the past few years and how has that changed the way they live?

How does the time your muse lives in influence their lifestyle? Are they happy they’re born in their time, or do they fantasise about a different era?

Does your muse focus mainly on one long term goal or multiple short term ones? What do they think about the reachability of their goals and what are they?

Is your muse an optimist or pessimist and how does this influence their choices?

Does your muse have any irrational fears that hold them back in life? Do they come from experience (trauma) or is it, for instance, part of a belief system they have?

What does your muse get out of relationships (be it friends, family or a significant other)? Do they find it energising or exhausting to keep up with?

How selfish/selfless is your muse? To what extent would they sacrifice themselves for others and is there anything they’d not give up?

Does your muse believe one should always work hard to get what they want or would your muse take a kind offer without feeling the need to repay it? What do they expect when they lend/give something to someone?

What are your muse’s thoughts on race? Are they biased/racist? Are they aware of discrimination; do they participate in it or do they ignore it? Are they discriminated against?

Is the way your muse sees themselves similar to how others see them or is it (very) different, due to mental illness/keeping secrets/etc.?

When faced with a tricky situation will your muse be proactive or passive? Will they, for instance, try to get involved when they’re not or will they try to get away when they are?

Do they take control or give control or do they believe in sharing power? What are their thoughts on control versus submission (either sexually or in relationships in general)? What do they think of authority?

How materialistic are they? Do they often throw things out or are they hoarders? Do they store their memories in their heads, in photo albums or in countless of boxes of belongings in the attic?

Are they addicted to anything at all? Do they crave something when they haven’t had it in a while? Has this ever endangered them or others?

What prominent habits does your muse have and how would they respond if they were forced to change them? Are they adaptable or dependent on their routines?

What skills does your muse have and how did they come to have them? Was it hard work to learn them? What do they use their skills for? Are there any skills your muse wishes they had?

How concerned are they with their appearance and how do they regard the appearance of others? Do they find it important? Do they enjoy aesthetically pleasing people?

What does your muse think of secrets? Do they keep many or a few and what is their motivation to keep something secret? Have they ever been hurt by a secret someone else kept from them?

They say it takes months to plan your first tattoo

and seconds to plan your second one.

Muse A is a successful tattoo artist and piercer at a small shop.  Muse B enters the shop, hoping to get something meaningful and personal as a tattoo. Muse A is introduced as their tattoo artist, and Muse B is taken aback. They’d never been attracted to people with tattoos before, but they find Muse A to be breathtaking. Muse A talks with them about their tattoo, and Muse B shares the deep meaning behind it, prompting Muse A to explain their own struggles, telling one or two of the stories about their own tattoos. As they talk, and as Muse A draws up Muse B’s design, they begin to form a bond, which only grows stronger as Muse A comforts Muse B, who gets nervous when they begin preparing the needle. Muse B might have gotten cold feet, if they hadn’t been so set on impressing Muse A, who talks them through the process and promises the pain will be worth it. When the tattoo is finished, Muse B is ecstatic, pleased with the design and the shading, it looks better than they ever could have dreamed. They leave the shop satisfied, but only with their tattoo, and they find themselves back in the shop shortly after, ready for a second tattoo, and specifically requesting Muse A.  Muse A begins regularly tattooing Muse B, and while Muse B is no longer afraid of the needle, they’re too shy to say outright how they feel. Little by little, they begin to drop hints about their intentions, which Muse A picks up, but Muse A plans on keeping the relationship strictly professional, despite the fact that they, too, are developing feelings for their canvas. They begin taking longer to do the tattoos, staying after hours in the shop to work on Muse B as single tattoos become sleeves, and small crushes become love.  What will run out first, Muse A’s professionalism or Muse B’s unmarked skin?

“Hey, hey you’re okay now” Ryuu sighed, bringing a cup of hot tea over to the bed. “I found you outside and thought it would be best to bring you in since it was snowing. I didnt want you to freeze. Here have some tea….do you want to talk about these nightmares?” He asked, he might as well help the poor stranger, though before he sat down he made sure his mask was snug across his face. The last thing he wanted to do was scare the man off.

It takes Akira a moment to recongise the other man. The scent is familiar. Although he doesn´t know his name as they both fled to different ways when gangmembers attacked him. After a harsh fight of course. The werewolves eyes focus on the tea as he grasps it. “There´s nothing to talk about. It´s in the past,” he says in a cold tone before bringing the cup to his lips. He takes a long sip of it, letting the liquid warm up and relax his body. He guesses that he has collapsed after accidently ingesting sugarfree gum. Normally that wouldn´t do a thing. But it´s still a week left before he begins regaining his abilities. Which means he´s basically a human who´s a allergic to the same things as dogs. “You´re that man….Do you remember me? I know your scent.”
