She eased herself off the platform and toward the welcoming whispers unaware of what they were leading her to. For their voices were deceptively sweet, how could she know to resist? After a short walk, she quickly discovered her trust was misplaced, but it was too late. A thought crossed her mind, “Will anyone find my body?” “No,” the voices answered. She could hear the smiles within their tones. Her screams stayed caught in her throat, unable to release them. Sharp cold shivers rippled through her body, rapidly growing more intense, until it abruptly stopped. Her eyes frozen open, body stone cold solid as it slowly melted into the metal peaking out from beneath the dirt.
