Nikolai was up to no good. Well, he was sort of cutting a tree down for ammunition for his cape to launch at someone at Mach speeds. He cuts it down with a chain saw, where it comes crashing down towards someone, only to be swallowed up by a yellow portal.

"Woah~! I almost hit you!" Nikolai called out while he placed his chainsaw away. He gallopped over to the stranger and inspected him.

"You're not from here, are you~? I can tell just the way you look~!" Nikolai chirped and spun in spot. "Who are you?" he said as he stopped spinning and pointed at the stranger.

Destro, is not one to actually be startled so easily.

But yes he did get startled so very easily, his own shock though came from the fact that someone was doing whole sale destruction on a situation he could not understand. Why were you cutting trees in the park?

"...Destro." He had his mask on, so lying was stupid. "But thats not important, why are you cutting trees in ... a park?"

Parks were often places of comfort, of peace. Of quiet. Transferring and hiding in another city for now while the police and government were after him, is not something he would usually do. But this was suggested by those who were experts in hiding.

And then he almost jumps because a tree just falls right in front of him.

Waking up in an alley is preferable to waking up in a prison cell. Eyes move forward, seeing .. a lot of things at once. His brain, short circuited for a moment. His legs moving left and right, on their own as if in a trance and-

When fighting against the government, there were certain things that needed to be done. Staying low profile when you want to not be bothered, putting on fresh socks. Never sitting out on a extremely hot day, being aware of the market costs of cabbage.

So he's here for cabbage, thankfully in a sector where he can still shop without being bothered too much.

actually this is a common misconception, don’t worry the hero commission’s been pushing this narrative for a while now it’s okay if you didn’t know, but it’s grievously ahistorical. i actually have this friend, name’s rikiya yotsubashi, you might have heard of him he’s like this bigshot ceo, busy guy but he’s always happy to take some time out of his day to educate. anyways he’s pretty well-researched about the history behind the origins of the quirk term, pretty gnarly stuff. hey here’s some literature if you want to learn more, the book club i’m in is actually gonna be talking about this next week if you’re interested —

destro literally not knowing he was going to have descendants was the highlight like who was the mother.
