man, when you are making a blanket, soon everything you do becomes in service of The Blanket. i am always making The Blanket...i work to make money to buy yarn to make The Blanket. i pay rent to have a home to put The Blanket in. every time i have a moment free i am working on The Blanket. i am like 400 hours into this thing and ive got another like 250 to go. it never ends...
the scarf has been bound off!! just in time for summer 😁 i love it so much and im excited to wear it in the winter. i may hang it up on the wall as like a tapestry until then just to display it!

hex blanket progress!!
plus a photo minus the flowers! im a bit over a third of the way through the blanket, somewhere around 230 hexes. its coming along sooooo nicely and i am itching to sew them together!! but i must wait.....
60% of the way done! not sure how im feeling about these neon hexes :( i adoreeeee the color and its so pleasing to the eye on its own, but i think it might be taking away from the flowers when combined with all the rest of the greens. i am reluctant to remove them from the blanket though as i spent so much time on them!

pink ones are sock weight yarn with the "I'm So Basic" pattern by Summer Lee
stripey socks and red/gray socks are dk weight socks made from the "Vanilla Socks" by Crazy Sock Lady Designs

trying to customize my e-reader:
- knitted an i-cord strap and used some bits and bobs to attach it to the lanyard holes
- drew a cover image in a different program and uploaded it to the device
- sticker!

had to switch dye lots halfway through because i didnt realize it would use so much yarn, whoops!! i love the slight gradient, though

they still need finishing touches, but the second sock is all knitted up! made using the scraps from my beekeeper's quilt
hit a big milestone on the hexipuff quilt!! i am now over halfway finished! i also just passed 300 hexes. the blanket progress slowed for a bit when i was waiting to buy more yarn, but yarn has been acquired!! now i can start up hexipuffs again 😊
my original goal was to finish this project in one year, which would mean it should completed around august. i am still on track for that goal! i may adjust the goal date to the wintertime though because ill probably not be able to use this thing until then, haha.

starting two pairs of socks, one on shorties and one with the magic loop method to see which one i like more!
so far i prefer the shorties, but the sock on the circular needles seems to be a bit neater so far. but it may just be a difference in yarns used!
finished up the socks on the shorties! i feel like the long stockinette sections go much quicker on the shorties, but you do end up needing to switch to either DPN's or long circulars to work the heel and toe anyways.
i havent finished the socks on the circulars yet, but those do look a bit neater compared to the ones made with the shorties so far! though i think any visual differences between the two will be ironed out with blocking.

made a sock from the scraps of my hexipuff blanket!
knitted my first pair of socks! using the free ravelry pattern: "DK Weight Vanilla Socks" by Crazy Sock Lady Designs. these were a joy to knit up and i know i am gonna knit up some more in the future!
this is knit using the leftover yarn from the gloves i knit my partner for christmas, so now they'll have a matching set of socks and gloves :D
