hit a big milestone on the hexipuff quilt!! i am now over halfway finished! i also just passed 300 hexes. the blanket progress slowed for a bit when i was waiting to buy more yarn, but yarn has been acquired!! now i can start up hexipuffs again 😊

my original goal was to finish this project in one year, which would mean it should completed around august. i am still on track for that goal! i may adjust the goal date to the wintertime though because ill probably not be able to use this thing until then, haha.

160 hexes done of the hexipuff quilt! i am almost 1/3 of the way done! here's a pic with and without the flowers. it gets dark soooo soon and its hard to get pics of anything in natural lighting anymore! i think i may add lighter greens to help tie into the white flowers. heres a pic of what the finished quilt will look like and the color palette so far

feeling so demotivated on the hexipuff quilt because I mentioned to my mother that I had made four more and she was like ??only four?? it takes me like 45 minutes a puff and shes like im glad I never did any of this crap and its like you spend more time playing candy crush than I spend on fiber arts every day and what do you get out of it? not 1 1/4 hexipuffs an hour thats for fucking certain.

I really really want a beekeeper's quilt but I have ADHD which makes knitting a billion identical infinitesimal hexagons extremely difficult

SO instead I'm using aran weight yarn so I have to make fewer and crocheting them so they go faster. I am also making this for a twin sized bed

I have a lot of this old lady type acrylic yarn which is cheap as dirt and comes in beautiful colors but is so scratchy I can't make wearable clothing out of it so I think a quilt which sits on top of sheets or blankets would be perfect for it

Happy Pride!! I love Gilbert Baker's original pride flag and the meanings behind it, and I realized this year that I have enough puffs to make my own.

Plus a little extra pride for my trans siblings. I love you guys and this blog will always stand in complete support of trans and nonbinary people
