supernatural meme: three angels [3/3] → Gabriel
“Because Dad was right. [People] are better than us.” “They are broken, flawed abortions.” “Damn right, they’re flawed. But a lot of them try to do better, to forgive. And you should see the Spearmint Rhino. I’ve been riding the pine a long time, but I’m in the game now. And I’m not on your side or Michael’s. I’m on theirs.”

threerealms:
She could feel it, the caution. The lack of trust. She couldn’t blame him; he was in a unknown place with a being on the same level as him. She could easily hurt Castiel or Sam. She probably had the means to even hurt him, but she wouldn’t unless pushed and given no choice.
“It was my pleasure. I couldn’t just leave them.” Her tone shifted, becoming more serious. “There’s worse in this world that could hurt them. Castiel is a beacon. Without pulling him out, they might not have survived.” She let his hands go, her shoulders slumping.
“Chares, I feel I have made a horrible mess of this… whole creation thing.”
Well that was comforting to know. He wondered what kind of beacon he gave off. It was certain that what he felt when he was around her went both ways though. It was only when she spoke again however, that she truly got more than his attention. His empathy. He shouldn’t’ trust it; he shouldn’t trust her. If they had similar pasts or circumstances, then fine. But that was not a reason to instantly feel safe around her.
“You’re not the only one.” He said, softly, eyes still on her for a long moment. For a moment, he remembered everything. Not only the apocalypse... (number two), but Lucifer, his archangels. His intention (and execution, it seemed), of leaving them to do their own thing. Especially with the result of it all...... it still weighed on him.
“How about we sit?” He asked, giving another small smile to her. “Have some coffee, some noodles - we can talk. I’m sure we have a lot in common.”
Two Gods
{ @deusxmonax }
Chesed could feel the other primordial being from her little house down the road. It was like sitting next to a exposed wire and it seemed to send tingles down her spine that she hadn’t felt in a very long time.
The arrival of the God had just futher cememted the realisation that all of this was new. None of this she knew. She could be as omni-present and all knowing as she wanted, but at the end of the day, she knew almost nothing about the hunter, God and Seraph that had fallen into her world.
Curiosity got the better of her. Instead of hiding in her house full of trinkets and charms, she wrapped the white shall she often wore around her shoulders and with a click of her fingers, apporting inside the house that now housed the three revugees from another universe.
“Hello?”
He immediately sensed her closer. Well damn, he was going to make the effort to introduce himself first. But it seemed like she had beat him to the punch. He peered back to what he was doing, looking over it one last time, before closing his phone and getting up. Getting to know this world and what had gone on here in the past was only safe, though, he couldn’t imagine what it was like for the other entity. Complete strangers, one a God – he couldn’t help but be thankful that she hadn’t taken drastic measures against them. Which only caused him to think – how could she be that trusting and kind?
He wandered through the house, until that intensity reached it’s peak. And then he poked his head around the door, eyes falling on the other. “…Chesed, right?” He asked, cautiously, moving out a little more, his eyes never shifting away from her. This was… definitely a new experience. Perhaps for both of them.
“I’m Chares.”
What had before felt like she was next to the exposed wire, now felt like like she’d just flat out licked it. Her eyes widened as the other God poked his head around the door, seemingly freezing on the spot. She’d never had trouble introducing herself before, although most of the time she was using her disguise and it wasn’t another God.
After that awkward moment of her brain seemingly resetting, her face lit up. “Yes!” She chirped, suddenly moving forwards to grasp Chares’s hands, shaking them eagerly. Apparently she wasn’t feeling as cautious as he was. “You’re from the other universe! It’s wonderful to meet someone else like me.”
Chares was a little taken aback, putting on a polite smile as his hands were - almost too eagerly - shaken. He instantly liked her. Something about her was familiar - of course. But her attitude, how she presented herself, right down to what she said. Especially that last part. It’s wonderful to meet someone else like me. ...he didn’t realise how much that was true for him too. ...That didn’t mean that he trusted her.
“It’s-- uh, wonderful to meet you too.” He smiled, nodding as he brought his other hand to the main one being shaken, cupping hers. “Thank you for looking after Sam and Castiel. I’m sorry their arrival was so unexpected - that was... down to me. I barely even knew where I was sending them.”

“I’m Chares.”
He's hiding under Sam's quilt cover for when he gets home - to surprise him. But instead, he /may/ have fallen asleep. - Chares ;)
When he first gets back to the little house that Chesed given them, his first reaction to something in his bed is to pull out his knife. So imagine his suprise when he pulls the sheet back to find the sleeping God there instead.
“…Chares..?”

As Chares moved backwards, Sam leant back to to look at him properly. Chares looked tired, weary. How long had he been trying to get here? How long had he been fighting? Sam looked weary too, even with the safe place to stay, the God down the road, he had been working restlessly to try and get hold of any kind of informtation he could to where they where or how they could get home.
Was that old universe home anymore though?
“I’m fine, Cas is fine. We’re just tired, Cas was a little toasty on reentry… Chesed has connected him to her heaven so he has some kind of link to normality… As normal as this is compared to home.” He smiled at him, weary and yet filled with relief and almost glowing with love. “I missed you…”
So Chesed was that entity he could feel. The God of this universe. He again, stored that information to the back of his mind, thankful that she was - or at least appeared to be -- somewhat kind. Lowering his hands, he took Sam’s, firmly. If he was honest, he didn’t have a lot of time to miss Sam except only to worry if he was safe or not. But now it came rushing in. Why oh, why did he let himself in for emotion?
“I am... so glad you’re safe.” He met his eyes, giving him a faint smile, before whispering his next words. “I didn’t stop to think about how much I missed you until today.” Averting his eyes slightly, he then looked back at Sam. How much he missed him, how much he craved to be around him? It sat heavy on his heart now. Especially now they were in front of each other.

As if he was a sandcastle under a wave of sea water, he crumbled against him. Relief washed over him, washing away the grief he had been harbouring and leaving behind the feeling of being light.
His knees gave way, crumbling to the floor as he clung to Chares as if he was scared he’d vanish again, fresh tears running down his face. “I thought you were dead… I gave up hope… I’ve been trying to find a way to get back… or contact you.. but all my prayers…” his voice trailed off. Hed been trying for the last week or so to get ahold of him. But all the prayers had gone unanswered and left an aching silence in their place.
He forgot how smaller he was compared to Sam. He had no other choice but to lower to the ground with him, too, one hand still gripping his back, while he moved the other up and down. And he closed his eyes, knowing that if he didn’t contain himself, he would cry too. “I’m sorry.” He whispered. "It was hard to get here and I wasn’t able to just freely communicate, not when--” So much was happening on Earth. Their Earth. He took a breath. “Are you okay?” He asked, pulling back a little and looking at him. “You two didn’t get hurt coming through, did you?"

“…Chares..?”
Chares instantly woke up, eyes immediately opening all the way as he pushed himself up. OH! Oh right. Sam. “Sam-” He blinked a few times, rubbing the side of his face, eyes on the other. “…Surprise! You- uh.” He cleared his throat. “You miss me?”
“I thought you where gone.” The words slip from his lips before he can stop himself. “Chesed said she couldn’t feel our universe… I.. I thought you where dead.” He stares a little longer before dropping the knife and almost yanking Chares off the bed as he pulling him into a hug. “I thought you where dead.”
Chesed? He stored that name in the back of his mind, but for now - he was more preoccupied with Sam. Oh, he had missed him. And it definitely hit him - HARD - to see him again, despite how TIRED he was. He instantly pulled himself up and wrapped his arms around Sam, gripping him tightly in return. “Hey. Hey, it’s okay. I’m not dead, I’m right here, Sam.”
