âHey, bud!â
DD bows in play and spins about, barking once more.
At this age he is all paws, the big feet just slapping against the ground while he runs with a clumsy gate. DD yapped senselessly and the puppy just ran along the side of the base. Curious, he looked down at the ocean below, front paw sticking out and pressing at the air, like he were trying to judge the massive distance between ledge and sea. Someone should really put the pup on a leash.

Squeak.  Squeak squeak. Squeak squeaksqueaksqueaksqueaksqueaksqueaksqueak  . The Wolfdog chomped into his squeak toy at an ungodly hour of the night. Sharp enough to be obnoxiously loud from the kennels and likely annoy nearby soldiers.
The power of the wolfdog is clearly seen when he tries pushing against Ocelotâs hand, almost baring the weight of the man until he gets the message and lays down with a calmer expression. Panting, he growled only somewhat and flicked his lips up in a clear sign of displeasure. Maybe an aggressive female is not what he needs. The two could very likely kill eachother before producing the next line of Diamond Dogs.
Ocelot rested against him until DD had stopped trying to fight him altogether, and sat down beside him with a sigh, and a hand still readied against his scruff- although, giving him soft scratches and pets right now.Â
âWeâll try again with someone else in a few days. Itâs all right.â he rubbed his nose for a moment, and gestured for someone else to take DD.Â
âMake sure he gets food and water, but keep him in one place for a bit, okay? Heâs agitated and I canât let him run around like that.â
He turned back to the dog, and ruffled a patch of fur behind his ear.Â
âSorry, bud. Itâs time out for you.â
DD offers a couple of licks and nips to Ocelot's hand - as tense a she is he can still offer Ocelot a bit of love. He goes easy with the handlers assigned with nothing more than a growl and half assed strain towards the female before his mind is set on walking and moving somewhere else. A real lady killer, this dog.
"Sir!' A soldier beckoned for Ocelot. He was looking at the corpse of a dog he doesn't know well. Volk is torn up quite a bit and the culprit sits nearby with a tongue lolling out and a keen eye set on anything around him. His ears flick back a moment and then press forward at the sight of his mumsie, as if acknowledging Ocelot. Someone is in big trouble.
Volk. A handsome Golden Retriever with a kindly nature. Sometimes curiosity gets the better of the retriever as does hunger. It was a clear morning when he had escaped from the morgue, Aleksei remained sleeping in his office after a long night of paperwork. The dog hurries along the pavement until he comes to a group of soldiers close by. From there he just watched and waited until they pass by, he proceeds with caution and then he spotted it. It was a well used bowl with a slab of meat handing off the edge, partially chewed, and its owner definitely close by.
Volk approached carefully, sniffing at the slab of meet until he collected it in his mouthâŚ
What is this? another dog encroaching upon his meal?! The Wolfdog picked his head up and rested his eye upon the dog. DD had been resting in the shade of a truck after having his fill of protein for the time being. DD turned his head and looked at nearby soldiers before standing up and stalking towards the thief. That was his meal. Not the other dogs. His. Only his. He will make damn well sure that the dog knows his place when it comes to his things. DD snarled and bares his teeth, snaking forward and towering over Volk with all signs of a dominant male there.
Volk squeals, bowing down to the strength of the wolf and going belly up with his hind legs geared towards digging into DDâs chest and shoulder. His paws push on DDâs throat in attempts to dislodge the teeth from his face.
The Wolfdog releases and crans his head with his jaws still open and golden hair stuck against his tongue, he lunges down and goes in for the kill. Teeth poised, he buries them into the canines throat and holds tight in a manner that the airway is clenched some.
Volkâs yelp is muffled. He does not have much in an ability to overtake DD. It takes a few seconds for the surrender, paws against DD, jaw moving with each gulp of breath. Poor boy is trying to tell DD he surrenders.
Message ignored. Th Wolfdog strengthens his bite and thrashes his head as well. He is not letting go.
Volk eventually ceases all attempt to surrender and lets himself settle in a sprawled state. He gasps every now and then, strains, moves very abnormally until he moves no more. Heâs gone.
A certain mortician is going to be very heartbroken.
The Wolfdog let go after and gave the fresh corpse a few good shoves with his nose. Proud, bloody, and quite content that he had taken care of business in guarding his food, he  soon reaches the shade of the truck and lays down once more.

The aggressive snaps get a small flinch from DD. Unfortunately, after he goes in, teeth clacking, ears pinned, ready to hit his mark. He bites at her face and gets a similar reaction. It happens so fast and ends with DD locking his jaws on her muzzle and shaking his head a couple of times, engraving small marks from the tips of his teeth into her nose. He isnât letting go until he slips off with the lack of grip, even then, he is going in for a second go.
Welp. Not every date is perfect.
Ocelot is quick in darting in and prying DDâs jaws from the femaleâs nose, as a few of the other trainers work to isolate her as well, punishing her with a push to the ground and a hiss.
He expected a little better of the pooch, but- he understood. DD hadnât been around many other dogs, and had probably over-reacted to some degree out of confusion.Â
Still, Ocelot took him by the scruff and pushed him down for a moment, in no way that would truly hurt him- but in a way that would disable the dog for at least a moment or two while he sat over him, waiting for the message to sink in.Â
âDD, no.â he said, firmly, as a warning.Â

Volk looked at the other dog approaching and quite easily yielded the right of ownership when the teeth and posture were in play. He backs from the food bowl and lowers his head, ears flipped back some with his head turning away to avoid eye contact. Guilty posture, more or less.
Not good enough. The Wolfdog submitted to his dominant nature and strides up to Volk. When it looks like he was going to stop a few feet and give a verbal snarl, he does not, instead he opens his jaws and grabs for a mouthful of Volk's left cheek and ear. He does so with every intent of attacking the dog, one front leg going up to hook onto Volks back while his goal was to bring the other dog down.

DDâs not a ladyâs man.
Other dogs? Well, now this was a change in pace. At first DD moved in through the fence door and then paused with one of his front limbs still up, head lowered some, ears perk, and his eye basically glaring a hole into the dogs. It is this wolfish stare that is known to stop prey in its tracks. He twitched his ear to Ocelot as he spoke to the trainers and then walked forward, the fur on his back, shoulders, and neck standing up on end and his tail remaining higher than ever. HE is the alpha here. Tis the wolf coming out in him when faced with similar cousins.
He approachesone of those lazing about in caution, bobbing his head while he drinks in the scents of the new company. He is very wary of them.
Some of the girls donât want anything to do with him, and snapped their jaws at him, accordingly.
Fortunately, there was still a healthy pick of wolfdogs for DD to check out and look over, and Ocelot planned to stay to make sure no one was going to get hurt- or pregnant- in this first process, anyway.Â
âBe nice.â he warned, although it was probably useless of him to do so.

The chatter was well enjoyed, his ears perked and eye roamed to his trainer as though attempting some way to decipher the words being spoken. It was here that he decided to bounce some and nudge Ocelotâs hand roughy, nipping in clear glee.
Ocelot, finally, led him to a fenced-in area. There were a few other trainers with dogs wandering about, mainly trying to get them all accustomed to one another.Â
They were all roughly the same breed as DD- although some bordered more on âwolfâ than âdogâ, and some were simply more âdogâ than âwolfâ. Their pelts varied from sleek gray, to white, to jet black, and even a deep auburn.
Ocelot carefully opened the fence and invited his pooch to step in and become accommodated. Most of the dogs were on leashes, but some were simply lazing around or sleeping- as dogs often do.Â
He tossed a look to one of the trainers.Â
âKeep an eye on the more aggressive ones. The last thing we need here is a dogfighting ring.â

Hey.
Hey you.
Iâm going to steal your stick.
Kaz looked to the dog, and frighteningly receptive, warned, âDonât even think about it.â
Step. Step. He approaches slowly, stalking, eye looking at the cane, to Kaz's face, then to the cane again.
