Sayoko didn’t notice what had happened in the split second she had walked from the inside of the hospital to the street, but she knew the heaving feeling weighed on her dreadfully. She took only two steps and a drop of blood fell from the sky, almost onto her pure white shoe. 

She froze in place, her heart pounding within her mind, he eyes wide, her mouth slowly peeling open. It’s just wet paint. she reassured herself. When you look up you’re going to feel incredibly silly, Sayoko. She laughed at herself. Her head moved, up slowly, until it was facing up all the way, and her heart sunk into her stomach as if it was a heavy cinderblock sinking into the ocean. She swallowed hard but her mouth was instantly dry and she couldn’t speak.

There she saw the girl in a green jacket, a plated skirt, and short beautiful sandy hair. Her body was in an incredibly twisted position, off a telephone wire, the girl was cut a bruised, upside down, her arms dangling gently in the wind.  Sayoko recognized this girl and she was frozen. Her knees gave in and she collapsed, still staring up at the distorted body. Her eyes swelled and her throat burned. She sobbed out loud and the other nurses came to her aid and was what horror she saw.

Sayoko sobbed, her throat hurt, she coughed, scratching at the ground. This girl was a friend of Yu’s, and of hers. “..Chie..!!” was all that the nurse could scream out. The nurses grabbed her and tried to pull her inside but Sayoko was gone in her own trance. “…Chie..!!!” She screamed, reaching up to the lifeless pale body. “..My dear… Chie…!!”

Sayoko collapsed in disbelief and heart broken.
