Hello! Life been hectic and my interest been sprinkled over some fandoms as of late. Fire Emblem and I’m still into BOTW ( haven’t beaten it yet…) but I’ve had thoughts of turning this into a Link single muse blog. 🤔

Tilting her head in response to the princess's voice, Mipha remains quiet. Listening with a kind patience, a skill she's often praised for. She closes her eyes letting the words wash over her, touched by the crackling fire between them they're warm and heavy. Without Revali's presence, the atmosphere around them is more settled and calm. While his sureness and confidence is always grounding, Mipha sometimes does grow unsteady by it. Especially if they hold differing viewpoints.

When silence falls over them, she hums to break it. A gentle nudge opening the door for soft conversation. Tucking her legs beneath her, she gazes at Zelda.

"Is that a poem you came across during your research?" She asks in a murmur to not disturb the wildlife beyond. "Or did you come up with it?" With all the knowledge and curiosity the princess contains, Mipha wouldn't be surprised if she put together such beautiful words together.

fortunately   for   him   though   ,   link   wouldn't   be   able   to   notice   as   the   cloth kept   his   wound   hidden.   still   ,   all   of   this   just   never   sat   right   with   him   ,   & if   it   were   up   to   him   ,   he   would   save   the   land   of   hyrule   on   his   own. however   ,   his   role   was   to   be   a   mere   support   for   the   chosen   hero   in every lifetime   whilst   he   continued   his   attempt   to   break   the   cycle.

eventually   though   ,   he   came   back   to   reality   ,   oceanic   hues   glancing   over to whatever   link   was   pointing   at   only   to   grimace.   those   ominous   clouds didn't look   good.   ❝   looks   like   we   better   hurry   &   find   shelter   before   we get caught   up   in   the   storm.   i   believe   there   are   some   abandoned   buildings up ahead   that   might   provide   decent   shelter.   ❞

The sky rumbles it's disgruntlement, letting travelers from all directions of it's incoming tantrum. Link decides to slip on his cloak, settling the hood over his head in preparation for the downpour. It was specifically tuned to help against the many moods of the weather.

He lifts himself on his mount, rubbing her neck with a tenderness only borne from years of familiarity. She may not be the exact same from one hundred-years ago, but he senses they're linked. Generations later the goddess has blessed him with a companion that will forever be at his side.

Taking the reigns with deft hands, he checks on Sora before instructing his mount to take off. After several miles underneath their belts, is when the first drop lands on his nose. Guiding his stallion to slow down, he looks up toward the heavy gray sky. Several more drops fall on him.

He looks to Sora, ready for them to take over and lead toward the shelter that was mentioned earlier.

"Okay, but!" She raises a finger. Wags it in his face. "What if I want to stay here, hmmm? What then?"

"I'm paid to keep you safe, so I'll do what I have to do.." He hadn't though that far ahead...but she doesn't know that. Or does she?

After many complaints from the children about an odd stranger in one of the old abandoned buildings, Aerith decided to look into the matter herself. Once she finished her shift at the orphanage, she took the detour to go investigate. Her mother would understand, it’s for the children after all! To make matters even more simple, all she planned was a quick peek to make sure there wasn’t any true danger.

Approaching the old building with careful steps, her green eyes scan the area for the spooky stranger. Her eyes brush over the 'under construction' sign at the entrance. The story went that the Shinra company decided against utilizing it for their business needs. The building was left dilapidated in their Sector.

Not seeing anyone in the outside area, Aerith wonders if they've already left. Which on the one hand is good. On the other, she won’t know if they're a danger needing to be reported. Stepping inside, she bends to avoid a few broken metal beams before finding herself in the center of the first floor. It’s like a spiderweb of metal beams, as she turns to continue her inspection she catches sight of lump a few feet away.

Oh! This must be the spooky stranger! Looking around, she reaches for an old metal pipe and knocks it against a sturdy metal pillar. The metallic sound ringing loudly in the area. She winces from the volume, but keeps her gaze set on them.

“Hey! Are you alive over there?!” Normally she wouldn’t be so…suspicious, but this whole situation has too many unknowns to take risks.

Perhaps it’s all three. His duty, his destiny, and his soul will never know peace if he didn’t do something. A weight of that magnitude cannot simply be shaken and left behind. To allow the Calamity to destroy the land he calls home is unforgivable. To no longer have the sweet hills beneath his feet, the soft blue skies above his head would be a regret he’d never survive from.

Also...if not him, then who? Why burden someone else with this task when he’s already standing in place. Everyone has a purpose on this land and this must be his.

Blinking free of his thoughts, Link watches as Sora takes his injured arm and finishes the job of the elixir. He dips his head in thanks, before only offering a shrug at his questions. They’re questions with no solid answers. Blue eyes soften as he reaches with his injured hand to squeezes Sora’s shoulder. Appreciating their concern over his situation, but he wouldn't trade it. Pulling his hand back, he rolls back his shoulders to refocus.

Link checks his supplies, readjusts his weapons, and nods at Sora. It’s time for them to go, to continue on this journey. Looking to the north, his eyes catch the sight of heavy, gray clouds in the direction they’re meant to head towards. He points so his companion sees them as well.

Link is still a relatively new muse for me, as well as the entire franchise. I still haven’t beaten BOTW for example. This aspect may change as I explore and research more, but I want to keep Link’s silence.

If you notice I’m not using much dialogue with him, that’s why. I know he does talk in the series even if we don’t hear his voice, but the silence resonates with me. Just a heads up! Thanks for reading.

Link pulls himself up to his feet with a low grunt. He dusts off his tunic before glancing at Sora. He dips his head in acknowledgment, then shrugs a moment after. Fair point he seems to say with a tilt of his head, but the set of his jaw and the determined glitter in his blue eyes tell a different story.

He would be reckless if it means he saved her, if it means fulfilling his duty. That’s why he’s here, bestowed with the honor and title of champion. What point would there be to him if he played it safe? It could lead to danger or worse. Pulling a strong healing elixir from his pack, he drinks the warm liquid and watches as the magic of their realm plays it course. Knitting his skin back together, smoothing over any bumps and bruises.

Lifting a hand in the direction of their destination, he motions for them to get moving.
