Ran out of my Tourette’s medication and haven’t had a chance to pick up my refill (I don’t drive). I keep jerking and I have a horrible headache from not taking my meds for two nights. Ugh
We need more characters with Tourette’s in the world
Nothing stronger than the bond between a trans autistic person and their emotional support cat (bonus points if that cat is orange or black)
Tourette's is kind of in a weird spot when it comes to classifying it as a disability. Like, is it an invisible disability? Well that depends. Is it a physical disability? Yeah, but it's caused by your brain. Is it neurodivergent? Yes, but it also has a strong physical manifestion. Is it a disability at all? Well that depends on if it's disabling, some people have it so severely they struggle with daily life, and some people have it so mildly it would never get diagnosed, and there's so much variation in between, which also fluctuates for everyone.

Sooo true!!! My tics were incredibly disabling for the first probably 4 years after they developed. But for the past couple years they have been a minor inconvenience mostly. They occasionally spike to a degree that is disabling or upsetting. But it’s much less common now

The general public: you mean the LITTLE BOY DISORDER? The disorder that ONLY YOUNG BOYS ARE DIAGNOSED WITH? You have the small young 8 year old BOY disorder? This cannot be. You are not a little boy. You and your neurologists are WRONG!
There's so much in-fighting in the Tourette's community when what we really need to do is unite against our common enemy: moments of silence

Anyone else get periods where their whole body is full of premonitory urge but you're not ticcing?
I'm going to coin them as Premonitory Urge attacks.
I’ll get those whenever I’m ABOUT to go into a tic attack. Sometimes the tic attack doesn’t happen tho and then I feel like shit cuz I have all of this built up energy for no fucking reason :/ (upset face)
Like you can call yourself disabled in the most casual and neutral manner possible and people will still respond with stuff like "aww don't call yourself that you're not any less of a person" like YOU'RE the one reading that meaning into it my dude I literally didn't say that
repeating tics multiple times isn't a sign of faking!
(it's very common in tourettes, especially in tourettic OCD)
someone laughing at their own tics isn't a sign of faking!
(everyone deserves laughter and healthy coping mechanisms)
having tics that reference something related to a conversation or something in the environment isn't a sign of faking!
(its very common in tourettes)
having tics from other content creators isn't a sign of faking!
(its called echolalia, and its very common in tourettes)
having tics that appear 'dramatic' or 'forceful' isn't a sign of faking!
(a clinical feature of complex tics is that they can appear forced even though they are not)
having any sort of stereotyped symptom related to tourettes isn't a sign of faking!

When your tics wane or become less frequent/complex with age or medication, it’s so weird? Feels like I was over exaggerating or faking? But I Know I wasn’t. Tourette’s is just a funky disorder that fluctuates a lot
