“if you can’t describe your character’s appearance you’re not a good writer” jesus christ PUMP THE BREAKS PAL! you can’t say someone is a bad writer because they cant/wont do this one thing that apparently, to you, is the PRIME example of good writing. it’s so important. it’s SO IMPORTANT, apparently. it’s not as if people have their own writing strengths/weaknesses and it isn’t a big deal if they won’t tell you in excruciating detail every freckle on their character’s face. also there’s the fact that people on this site have big poo brain and if you say “my character is black” they will say “oh you mean tan”. you have to actually show them a picture because just saying it isn’t enough in SO MANY CASES because reading comprehension is nonexistent, apparently so i guess if you can describe your character’s appearance you’re a good writer, right? please tell me that’s the same for all the smut writers who can describe their character in perfect detail (from the tits to the dong to every hair on their little head!) but cant write more than “he touch the pingy”.

look i know what you’re getting at here but also, consider this i’m nonbinary, but for the most part i only play cis characters and only accept cis characters (save for special circumstances, usually involving a friend) because my dysphoria is like a constant, ticking time bomb. cherubplay is an anonymous website. i don’t know these people, and they don’t know me, and therefore they have NO IDEA what my comfort zone is and what my limits are. they can, and have, put me over the edge and into a dysphoric episode. not only that, but, i don’t know if you’ve browsed around the site for more than five minutes but people are disgusting. trans and nb folks are fetishized to hell and back (look at all the trap and futa prompts, for fuck’s sake). how do i know the person connecting as a trans man dave isn’t someone who’s just going to go on, and on, and on about his “supple feminine curves” and “delicate femme features”? i want to save myself the potential headaches, and i’d really like it if folks don’t go around insinuating i’m (and many others who are in the exact same boat as me) some kind of transphobe because i care about myself too much to potentially let some rando on a roleplaying site give me a panic attack, or sexualize my identity.
