These pieces of work are about the meaning and feelings of life, everyone of these pieces has a different meaning to life.
1. The first piece was created with plastic letters and imprinted into snow, I did this by placing the letters down and pressing them until it created a outline, the reason I chose to do this was I find in life you get cold and lonely so I used the snow to show coldness and then by pressing them down it shows loneliness because you down and left to one side with no one to hold.
I find this to be one of my most affective pieces because it gets my point across, it has a strong message and it relates to a big part of life, its a good part of life but its a big part.
2. The next piece I created was with a plastic background and wooden blocked letter I did this to show that life is a mixed bag and you never now what you might get with it.
In this piece I found it didn't work so well, because of material I used didn't really put across the message I intended. I thought if I have to do it again I would pick brighter colours and use a contrast to show up and down in life better.
3. This piece was made up of a wooden template what had the letter carved out of it instead of being blocks, I thought this was a very effective way to get my point across which was to do with being empty and feeling like rubbish, for my background I picked to place my cut on the grid because I find a grid to be a place where all rubbish ends up.
With this piece of work I found that my meaning was correct and clearly showed but it found that my chose of materials was not correct I found I should of picked a more sad colour to show even more emptiness.
4. This piece of work I have created was wooden blocked letters saying life on top snow, this shows how in our lives we need to stand up to sad and unhappy things (the snow) and stand up and be counted because no ones to feel bad we need to fight it and show our best and let nothing keep you down.
This piece was very well and success full, it had all the points I wanted to make, showed clear and I got all the materials done properly, which was great if I had to change one thing it would is make them all in line and straight.
5. The next piece is of my bed and paper with the word life on it, the paper shows how our little minds start off empty and the only thing we know is how to sleep, but over time we will grow and become smarter and the bed shows how no one is going to give you anything because life is hard you have to stand up and fight for you want an never give up.
I found this idea/piece was my worst one it did get the point across but it looks awful I found my materials where the wrong ones and the background an the shot it self looks awful, I would pick a better background to show the meaning more and I would pick something more dark and hard hitting
6. The last piece I created was made up of wood blocked letter and a tree in the background, I used these materials because I find they represent my meaning the best, the meaning behind this piece is giving life and starting a family what the human race is all about, we are united together and through anything this is what we are set out to do, in millions of years time we will still be doing it will never be forgotten, also I used a tree as my background because people show life and they call it a family tree and this show how your family has grown and how life has changed.
In my final piece I would say I got my strongest point and strongest outcome it shows everything I want it to show in life and it shows off what the main reason of life is, which is what i'm glad about and it well edited to give it a good sharp look to it
