NEVER do your best. QUIT
I sometimes think about how Yuji grew up isolated, with no close friends and just an angry, sick grandpa, that he was so poor he didn't have a cell phone in a country that is practically defined as the most technologically advanced country in the world right now; that his social life revolves planning around visiting a sick grandfather; that despite mutual interest, never had a girlfriend; that he couldn't stand to hear about his parents and has been robbed of any more chances to ever learn about them.
This kid, who grew up with so little both emotionally and materially, never begrudged his grandfather for not giving him more. This kid showed up to the hospital every day with flowers and gave up sports all so he could visit his only family. This kid who could barely grieve for his grandfather before he chose others over himself. This kid who is forced to fight gruesome monsters and be assassinated, and work towards his own execution. This kid still has such a big heart to love everyone he comes across, to grieve for his enemies, and empathize with the victims.
Yuji Itadori has my whole heart
